It was a winter day, and even though there was "heat in the building", it still wasn't enough, hence the "hoody sweatshirt", an "Alaskan thing". Work fast/keep warm we say. And why do I hang sheetrock at fifty one? Well first of all, $32.60 an hour plus Union benefits is hard money to turn down, and, I am proud to still be hanging rock and keeping up with the youngbloods. I can still throw full twelve footers by myself, and also, someone has to teach the apprentices and young journeymen how to take pride in their work and "do it right...."
