Tell David that is an awesome song in memory of his Dad, He is good. Tell him we appreciate that he shared this video. His Dad would be proud. (Terri, you did good in posting it. I hope you also post it in the video section with comments as well.)
God bless you all. Your comments regarding Dave bring many good memories.
Thank you for sharing. Our son, David, wrote this song when he was 16 years old,
three months after his Dad fell asleep. He said he was thinking of his Dad when he wrote it.
I thought you'd be blessed to hear it. Thanks John for helping me with it. (I hope it works as this is the first time I have ever tried to do anything like this) I was thinking as I was working on embedding this song and after I had listened to the songs that John posted, that if anyone has a recording of a favorite song of Dave's, perhaps you would like to post it here as well.
I kept bumping into Dave early in my walk with God before I later got to know him well. I remember bumping into him and other believers from Colorado as we were arriving at Word In Business in St. Louis in January 1977(if I am wrong about this, then it was at the ROA}. He had such a joy and enthusiastic expectation concerning the love fest that was about to happen. In the fall of 1980 I had the privilege of cooking for part of the elk hunting trip in Colorado. Dave was one of the guides. I got to see mountain man Dave. But it was in the early 80's , when we both landed on HQ staff that I really got to know anmd appreciate and love Dave Lutz. Dave was Way Productions but also worked Way Builders where I was at. Many times I had the privilege of working one on one with Dave. It was so Much fun and yet very deep. Dave was a free spirit yet he had great respect for the Word of God and the order of Godly respect. He respected and yielded to the manifested power of God in others which made it so easy to yield to what God was working in him, which was alot. I really liked and loved Dave Lutz, maybe cause we were both country boys. Maybe because of his humble heart of love. I honor his memory and await for the time he will be leading some country worship in eternity. My love to Teri.
When I think of Dave I simply remember a rich and humble soul. A man that had an incredible ability to soothe your heart with song and bless your life with love. I am so thankful for the time I was able to work with him in Way Productions. He was always the guy that walked me through all the details and helped me get acclimated to things when I was the new guy. Dave was like a favorite shirt, when he was with you you just felt comfortable.
I don't think I will ever forget his signature phrase " Let er go boy " to start the songs when we performed. Can't wait to see him again at the return and spend our time talking about what God has done.
