"Hello Barbara,

I can still see your warm smile. Rick Sanders (10th) was our twig coor at emporia the first year in residence. I believe it was near the end of that year. Funny, I lived in Orange County from 88-96.

"Hi April,

I don't recall the raid. But, I sounds like something Steve would come up with, lol! I think the last time I saw Cindy was when she was at Rome City. Yeah, the Messers were fun. I think Richard moved away from Bham.

  • Hi Wayne,

I don't think we've ever met but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your pictures--especially those of Camp Gunnison, which I never saw.

Thank you for the squirrel proof bird feeder tip, too. That's pretty handy!

    God bless,

    Kathy
  • Wayne Baby !!!

What a beauty Nikki was, we have a huski mix named Happy...same pink black nose and awesome eyes...almost with eye liner huh? You are looking great and very healthy. Are you still as rowdy as ever? I am -- or would like to think I am-- my kids will tell you different...that I am a strict mom---maybe because we all lived so rowdy HAHA....You have inspired me...I need to upload some pictures of my babies - human and otherwise.

  • Dear Wayne,
The minute I find Obie, I'll let you know. Did he end up in Washington?
For some reason I have kept him frozen in time on the U.S.S. Nimitz. I hope that all is well with you. I love your pictures that you posted. Especially the ones from LEAD! Love, Moira
  • Hi Wayne,
I am Sue Conness Mogan, now living in Minnetonka, MN for the past 24 years. It's great to see you. Sorry about your husky, We have 1/2 husky 1/2 shepherd dog named Aphrodite.
Take care. I will post a photo soon.
  • Hello Wayne,
I do remember Duke Clarke being in MN the first year I was involved with The Way in MN. I left for WOW and I think the new guy was a Mike or John Butler when I came back. I spent six months of WOW year in Gadsden, AL and six months in Anniston, AL. Lived in Birmingham for about the last 3 months of '80 before I got hit by a car, went back to MN and finished college. I got hit by the car the same day John Lennon was murdered. Guess that was just a bad day in general. I vaguely remember John and Mary McCave from the Alabama year. I thought they seemed nice and down to earth.
  • Hello Wayne,
Thanks for the note. Your photo from 1981 Emporia looks very familiar, but I can't recall any specific memories or interactions with you.. That doesn't mean I didn't know you, it just means my middle aged memory is functioning as expected.

I was in Minnesota just getting involved with The Way the years you were in Brainerd as I am from Minnesota, I was also in Alabama as a WOW for the 79-80 WOW year and until December 1980 when I went back to Minnesota. Since I was in the 14th WC, I would have been the junior Corps in residence when you were there as 12th. All seems like a lifetime ago in a different world.

    Beautiful dog, by the way.
  • Blessings to you Wayne~ Hope you are well and living in God's grace and goodness. God bless you!

  • Thanks so much.
