I just read your comment to Dan Haas' blog regarding "Lonnell and Me", in which he explained the providential circumstances whereby we reconnected after more than twenty years apart. He mentioned one of my poems "Good News Day" which I stumbled across on his "Fellow Laborers" website a number of years ago. You mentioned that you had intended to make a copy, but you evidently failed to do that before he discontinued the site. Well,
look no further. Here is a copy of the poem just for you. I have finally succeeded in downloading on my Way Corps webpage a sampling of some of poetry which I read as well as "sing." I have also successfully downloaded Dan Haas' rendition of one of my blues pieces "No Mo Blues" which he does a masterful interpretation of.
I trust you will be delighted and inspired by the poetry and the music. May this weekend be a most memorable one for you and your family, as we reflect with deepest gratitude to God, our Father, for His precious gift--Jesus Christ, our Savior, who was broken and poured out, battered and bruised. Though beaten beyond recognition, Christ triumphed over his enemies, making a show of them as he led captivity captive. Because He lives, I can face tomorrow with confidence, assured that God's faithfulness is unending. By the way, thanks for the two songs that ministered to me as I entered your webpage. "He's Always Been Faithful" touched me deeply. Thank you.
Ever serving the Lord with joy.

BTW, you will have to forgive me as I now recall, the last time I saw you both, I had the job of being a "hatchet man." to you guys. Not the responsiblity I really wanted, nor relished. I cried agter I did it, and even today I still have some of those droplets forming. If in any way I hurt you guys during that period please forgive me. While teaching us some great things, the Corps also instilled a type of hardness. It took years to remove that "brand." I t is good to see that smiling face again.
BTW, what ever happened to that girl you lived with at Dougherty's place that used to chew tobacco. Was her name Fran? I still have a lot of fond memories of these formative years there in the Frontier State.
