  • Dear Sylvia,
    I saw your name on the map and realized that we live in the same zip. Actually, I think that you just live a few subdivisions away. We are in River Station and have lived here 12 years. We currently fellowship over in East Cobb at the home of Rick and Robin Sanders. How long have you lived here?
    Lynn and Willy Grove

    Is this really you? I do not remember you as Sylvia--thought that was your daughter. Where are you now? I would love to see you face to face.

  • OH MY LITTLE JOLLY DOLLY! Sylvia, I have kept up with your mom and thus I have kept up with you through the years. I cannot tell you how happy I am for the life the Lord has given you. You are beautiful, your husband is gorgeous, and your children so precious. Let that Christ in you ooze into your children and all those around. You are truly a living miracle. I love you so much. Your sister and friend, Glenda Sue
  • I can't do anything but giggle when I hear from you! Love those boys of yours. And hey, 42 is as good a time as any to be a new mom. Jackson is the baby, right? He looks like he has your eyes and nose. Also your mom looks good. Does she live nearby or visit often? Bet she makes the most of being Grandma. Did I tell you that as of this year I finally went back to work in all seriousness? . . . .meaning that I have a real commitment of more than 8 hours a week. I am driving a school bus. It has been a real exercise in faith, but God has provided way more than I ever expected to get out of this and I love it. Currently I am driving a "special needs" bus and have an aide that works with me (whenever she is in a good mood anyway). But, because of the ice storm there is no school today or tomorrow so I am catching up on all of those fun stay-at-home things. If I get some real plans underway for spring in Atlanta I will let you know. It would be lovely to see you and Ray and meet the kids. Meanwhile, tell me a little more about your work. Are you still working and did you say from home? Do you love it or tolerate it? Going to church or fellowship anywhere? How is that whole adventure for you? Jim's page tells part of the story for me, at least to the extent that I have experienced all of that stuff along with him, and then some. Well, have a comment from Leslie Grumelot that I need to read. What fun! Do you happen to know the whereabouts of Darcy Martin? More later. Love,
    Elaine Landmark
  • Hi Sylvia;
    Your sons are beautiful and you know I'm partial to the name "Ryan." I recently got back from visiting my Ryan and grandsons, Eban and Jack in Colorado. Being a grandmother is awesome. How's your Mom? Please send her my love the next time you talk to her.
    Congrats on the new baby. It's terrific to have good news of you here.

    Lovingly,

    Kathy
  • Swilbia!! Soooo good to see you and family. Congratulations on the new baby. He will make a nice match to go with the old baby who is also very cute. I can just see you doing the mom thing and loving it. And I am so glad that you are having the opportunity to do it. Yes, we did had lots of fun in Floral and so much of it was the people. Did you help us during the 40th Anniversary preparations, or were you busy with school then? Were you even in high school yet? Anyhow, I would love to talk with you some time or better yet to see you. Do you remember Elieen Baxter Randman? She is in Hapeville, GA and I may be going to visit her some time soon. Are you anywhere in the neighborhood? We have been 16 years in Indiana. Two daughters are doing various college things. A new grandson has come to live with us. He belongs to our daughter Candace who is also living here. It is crowded, but lots of fun too. Anyway, our grandson is 9 weeks old now.
    I started driving a school bus this year. It is a faith workout every day. I enjoy it. It is part time and I will soon be eligible for full benefits. What a deal! One of the more exciting things we have done during the intervening years is some short term mission work. We have gotten to go to Uganda and Kenya and also to Siberia one time. I really want to go back to Russia. Voluntourism, it is the thing. Anyway, I fell in love with the city of Irkutsk and Lake Baikal. (it was June) and I have this crazy dream of having some good reason to go back there. Well, forgive me if I repeat some of this to you later. My mind is occupied with more important memories like my name and address. It is a real joy to hear from you. All for now. Love, Elaine
  • Hello Sylvia,
    Looking at the photos, you have not changed and I would have recognized you in the street. The same beautiful smile!

  • Hi Sylvia--What a wonderful surprise to see you in here. I will have to look at your page thoroughly when I have more time. For now I am glad to see you and your family. Love and blessings. Elaine Landmark
  • Well, I sneezed and hit some key that lost the message I was typing to you. Are you using your daughter's email or is your name changed? I don't have much time on my computer for the last 2 yrs. Want to keep in touch. God bless you. I remember with pleasure our times together.
