About Me
I am blessed with three wonderful children - Abigail, Ryan and Robert - who all are doing very well : ) Abigail just finished her sophomore year of college (in Indiana), majoring in Equine Studies and minoring in business management (see photos of her at a horse breeding farm in IL.... with the foul she helped deliver, where she's working for the summer). Ryan just completed high school and will be attending a nearby community college in the fall. Robert will be entering 9th grade, and is enjoying learning about golf this summer. My main concentration right now besides being a Mom, teaching the kids the Word and working to support them.... is to do whatever it takes to help them grow, mature and continue along their way with God.
My Interests
Singing Christian songs, swimming laps at the Y, interior design/ home-making related things, gardening, ballroom dancing, playing piano, sailing (haven't done it for years, but certainly do love it and plan to volunteer as "crew" this summer for the local "Wednesday Night Races"!). Also, I REALLY love reading/relaxing with no agenda.......especially on a summer afternoon..... nestled on the rocks on an island in Maine, reading a good book : )
Employment or Career
I'm self-employed, doing anything I know how to do. I work two days a week in an interior design showroom, and also do cleaning, gardening or "whatever" for my mom's friends (all widows) who are in their mid-80's. They've all known me since I was about 5 years old so they have lots of fun feeding me lunch, asking about my kids, and watching me do the chores for them that they used to be able to do themselves. For me It's very rewarding, and for THEIR children it's huge - to know their mom has someone to call upon whom she trusts, and whom they trust to call upon in a time of need.
Music I Like
Anything Christian which I like the lyrics of and melody to (especially Bluegrass and Southern Gospel ). Also.... instrumental guitar, piano, flute, cello etc..
Books I Like
"Aramaic Peshitta New Testament Translation" by Jan Magiera, "Shattering Your Strongholds" by Liberty Savard, "Dining at the Master's Table", "Succeeding in Spiritual Warfare - Lessons from Joshua", and "In the Secret Place" (all by Paul Norcross), and "Alone with God"by Matilda Erickson, to name a few.......
Television I like
I rarely watch television but do sometimes with my kids if we're able to find a movie we can enjoy together.
Movies I like
Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice.........and anything similar.
Sports Teams I like
No favorites in particular, although I do enjoy watching sports with friends if the opportunity ever happens.

I only just now saw your search earlier this year for John and Nicha Anderson. They were my PFAL instructors at Indy in January 1976, and I got to know them well there. I would be curious to know also. I did write to Gerg Moore tonight, since he seems to know something.
Just talked to John
He'd love to hear from John Mann

I lost touch with you guys right when you began to have kids. It is so great to see them all grown....wow. I have thought of you and Bruce many times over the years and have always had fond memories. Grace and I are raising our kids in the Portland, OR area and doing well. Love to tough base a bit some time.

What a blessing to see your beautiful face. I'm so glad to see how happy and blessed you are. As soon as I saw you, I was filled with all kinds of in residence memories. Thanks for touching my life like you did.
Great to hear from you! Wish I still had that haven on Sturdivant Rd, and my parents were still alive, healthy and living in it to welcome me home with loving arms again. Oh well, putting the past behind, even the good times , and blessed to remember things that were profitable and blessed me, moving on the upward way...
Did you know it is my cousin Chrissy Pierce and his wife Nancy who bought that place and rebuilt the house on the property now? Most of the time, it's just the two of them living there.
Your pictures are awesome. You look wonderful. Fun to see and hear the stories about your children. Daughter's accomplihsments are excellent. The Presidents Circle thing sounds even better than the UMO Sophomore "Eagle's" or the Smith College "Golden Key" Groups that I got to be involved in --whoops, I just ended that sentence with a preposition - my mother and my Aunt Alice Mary Pierce would be sure to have reproved and corrected me..such things ... "up with which they would not put" :-)
I do not get to Portland much any more. If and when I do, I'll be sure to connect with you. Last time I was there I went to the Barnickle's fellowship in Yarmouth - sweet as ever and solid on the Word, which blessed me.
Paul and I are looking into retiring in Wisconsin, where we bought a second home in the town of Lake Geneva and spend every weekend here - lots of water fun and lively outdoorsy things to do. It's only an hour away from our home in Sycamore. He'll be able to retire within a year or so, but I'll need to find work up here, which should be easy to do.
Call me sometime.
Love, Emily
You have prevailed.
Cheryl, Brian, Chrstina and I at the Grand Canyon.
Bless you!
