  • Howdy.  If you want to come to a holy place, come visit Texas:).  We have it all. But I prefer the hills.  When it gets hot, the rivers were made to cool us.  The wind to remind us of Pentecost. And the drought to appreciate the rain.  I know we all went through Texas on the way to L.E.A.D.  but that was simply to teach us how the West was won.  The nicer parts are in the central region.  Here in San Antonio, we are too far south for the tornadoes and too far west to worry much about hurricanes.  Come on down.

  • Hi Rosanne,

God bless! Nice to see your smiling face again after all these year.

What a blessing to have you there in DC praying for our country. I live in Australia and pray from afar.
  • Naaawwww. It wasn't a tough time.... but it was reeeeeaaaal inconvenient!!!!! I now have more fun than most people. I love blessing people with my sense of humor and God has never failed to open doors for me to teach what I know of His Word. I'm glad I could bless you with the note. I wish I could have done more.
  • It is such a blessing to find you in here!!! I do not think I could really put into words what your presence at Emporia while I was in the 14th Corps meant to me. I was always comfortable to talk with you because you didn't act like it was beneath you to take the time. Thank you for all you did to make surviving the Corps a joy. You are wonderful!!!!
  • Rosanne, great to see you! You look wonderful. Sounds like you've had some exciting travels & experiences! I run a small school here in OH & we're thinking about taking a short trip to DC in June (about 11 teens, 4 adults) if we can raise the money. Do you have any recommendations for restaurants or places to stay? We've been advised to stay in Alexandria. Is this your opinion as well?
    Bless, Kathleen
  • Did you marry a High Priest? You look well.
    Jim
  • WOW!, nice to see you again Rosanne!...
And by the way...a million and one thank you for sponsoring me in the Corps...it was a great experience...and rewarding...and impacted many.
  • Roseanne--

How heartwarming to see your beautiful face and hear from you. Thank you for your kind words. Mutual, my friend, as I recall your wise, calming, and loving ways. Not to mention the requisite Herculean strength as Emporia staff.

I love the poems of Hafiz also. They.transport me. His ecstasy for the beloved--sacred and profane...resonates! And I dig Rumi...Mary Oliver.

If I come east next spring (I want to, I want to, I want to)..or whenever I go, a DC trip is on the itinerary. And you will be a part of it. Much aloha,
  • Rosanne - Thanks for responding. When I saw your face, I immediately remembered our warm friendship so clearly and how wonderful you were all that year. It doesn't seem like so many years could possibly have passed since we've seen each other. Good to have found you again, old friend. (I use the word "old" in the kindness possible sense!) You read spiritual books--my stuff is not that at all. But here's a link to an article on a dollmaker in northern New Hampshire. It's probably too long. You don't have to read it all, but you can see my name in print! (no big deal, really.) http://www.heartofnh.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view...
