Yes, I do remember those Corps nights with A.J. on the other side of me, always sitting up straight and alert!!
I do remember some funny remarks being made or passed between the three of us. I wonder if A.J. is here.
I love you also, so much! I have thought of you over the years and am so happy to hear from you!
You look radiant and happy, beautiful.

  • Hey Patti!!
It is so good to see your smiling, beautiful face! Do we ever have stories!!
I have to leave for work now~ will write more later.
I hope you're enjoying this holiday season.

    Much love,

  • Yes, Patti, I would love to know where they will be in CR when you find out. There is quite a community of North Americans and Europeans growing there. Maybe you will come down sometime! Thanks for the exchanges. Blessings and peace of Christmas to you and yours, Janie
  • Patti,

Thanks so much for the kind words. It is always a blessing to know that the words I've written have ministered to someone. "Good News Day" is among my favorite pieces, although how can you say that you have a favorite child out of so many wonderful "children." The book you are referring to is EARS NEAR TO THE LIPS OF GOD, which is no longer in print. You can obtain a copy of my latest collection STONE UPON STONE: PSALMS OF REMEMBRANCE from Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com or any bookstore for that matter. It contains "Good News Day" and a few others from EARS NEAR TO THE LIPS OF GOD.

Blessings to you and yours, especially during this holiday season, and may the New Year be an "overflowing cup" year for you as well.
  • Patti,
Yes, Christopher has 2 more years there, finishing his degree and playing football. I usually go for 1 to 2+ weeks at a time. In the spring late march/april then late August/September and again in November. It would be so great to see you. I'll let you know.
    Love you,
    Duke
  • Hi Patti, I love your new picture. I do work- today I had 30 little 3-5 year olds all day! Now that's work! I love you too!
  • Patti,

Linda and I have lived in Summerville for 18 years now. We have homeschooled all of our children since yYeadon was in the 3rd grade. Paul is the final one in his last year of high school. The effort has been challenging but very rewarding. Paul is 16 now and probably in a similar stage of life and growing as your son.

    Have a great day.

    Franklin
