  • thanks Nancy, we are doing fine. the season is nearly over we are getting some space after a busy summer.
  • Yes to all....
That would be great , we can sleep 19 in beds + floors. Don and Therisa
came down last March that was fun.
Thanks for helping to get me onto this site.
How are you and Chris and all you babies?
This move down to Cornwall has so blessed our family. We asked God to put us somewhere to serve people, and this is where we ended up.

Hi Nancy, I would love to visit you the next time I am in England. It would be wonderful to have a Baytree road reunion. Please give my love to Ian Summerfield, and Diane, did they marry each other? Last year I spoke with Angela Knight first time in years. when I left Birmingham I was 19 years old not much has changed only a few more digits and lots of gray which I am proud to sport.
You guys really impacted my life, you all gave me an awesome foundation so that I am able to discern truth from error, and for that I am honoured that you all welcomed me into your hearts and home when I showed up at your door step that Sunday morning, this was a major turning point in my life at age 17. I am a better person having being in your space at Baytree road. I am thankful to God that we have reconnected. Our door is open to you if you come to Manassas......
  • Great Sunday Morning to you Nancy! You beat me to it You were one of the first people that I wanted to give a shout out to. I was so happy to see your bio here as it brought back so many wonderful memories for me. I am going GREAT, very happy and married to Dennis Furr for 21years. Three awesome kids ages 9. 12, and 18. Give my regards to Chris and your family. I was in London last year, I am living in Manassas Virginia. Looking forward to catching up with you both. Love and belief Susan
  • Ahhh! The Nectar of the Gods!
It brought back memories of you and your HUGE cup, grafted to your hand.
Thanks for sending it along and for staying in touch.

  • Good for you girl! Enjoy the showing! We haven't done any this whole summer...was expecting a litter but she didn't take. So, back to square one and may try next season, but I'm starting some homeopathic treatment with her because I think a few issues she has are tied in to her not getting pg. Actually, I had no pupppy people lined up this go around so it's probably just as well, and I need to refocus back to my business with Brain Gym. That kind of took a back seat all year due to repro plans. Good to hear from you!
  • Nancy, It was good to hear from you. Thanks for saying hi. Love and God Bless, Les
  • the site in chicago was very good for this type of gathering, near o'hare, meeting rooms. the food was a bit pricey and the rooms ended up more expensive than advertised with megataxes, etc., but a great place nevertheless. john richeson was there and agreed that it would work well. if we were to do this, then there would be some organizing necessary. not my strong suit (or is it long suit, i forget these things). maybe a thread on the seventh corps group site would be a beginning. the sixth corps had about sixty people and it did not feel sparsely attended. it was large enough for rousing song choruses and a diverse set of experiences so that no one felt isolated by being a member of a denominational or any other type of church of which there were many examples. some were in way style offshoots but no one went with the intention of fighting the old doctrinal fights that erupted twenty-some years ago. anyhow, very cool to hear from you. my regards to chris. do you have an accent after all these years in UK?

  • nancy,
thanks for your note. hq was still recognizable as the very special place it once was and maybe still is to some who are there. chris and i were able to wander a little before a staff member saw us and attached herself to us. even so, she was not too bad. she wanted to take us to the osc for nametags. i declined politely and she walked with us around the barns, corps trailers, etc. i finally told her that we were former corps and she seemed to be a bit nervous about that but still not bad. i felt sorry for her. she seemed bound up pretty tightly. the sixth corps reunion was fun. i have wondered if a seventh corps reunion would work out better on our thirtieth.

  • God bless you Nancy- so good to hear from you. Memories of good and true service, long days and nights helping and laughing and drinking way too much bad coffee. You are such a bright light, always have been. May God bless you abundantly, in all your adventures. Love to Chris.
