"That sounded likes a very sweet reunion. I thrilled at your recounting of it.
I remember what the Doc said in the early days - what makes The Way unique and God blessed above all else is the Love we have for each other.
I believe that to be true -…"

I don't think you should close this site. The value in this site is incredible. Your love and heart for putting this together to begin with is remarkable. Love earns rewards. As you noted in your explanation we are the "fine wine".

  • We have a SUper Walmart. Whoo hoo.

It'll be fun to hang out of the lake. At least you don't have to worry about sunburn.

And you might get a chance to speak the Word. Ask God to open a door so you can.

Have a great Sunday, talk to you soon,

    Love

  • That's wonderful. What a beautiful sentiment. Thank you.

You should listen to your mother. She did give birth to you. You try that, ans see how you feel.

I am getting to like California. It took a while. Shell shocked I guess. And the mind set of these people is gee whiz, are you waiting for the aliens to come pick you up too? Out there..........It's like an ol dj from Florida once said, people in California act like they have been walking around in the sun with tin foil on their heads and their brains are fried. I mean honestly. Bizarre.

Thanks again for the poem. I am gonna print it off.

  • Can I get a BIG amen to that! I spent years wasting my time in Georgia and I should have left as soon as my mom was dead. Cold hearted maybe, but even David stopped crying and praying for his son once he was gone. Ga is spiritually dead, just religion and I want to part of that. Everybody I had talked to since I got out here said I am a totally different woman. Don who lives in NC who will be on here soon, said you should have left Ga. years ago. So yeah, I can relate. I feel like I am in the center of God's Will right now and doing what I need to do. So yeah, I will fight for that. I would too, if I was you. Call their bluff. They need you a lot more than you need them. If you have done your time, it's time to let your mom sleep through the night again. Trust me, she hasn't breathed deep since you signed up. Faribault needs you and you love it and you will take care of people there. Speaking of which, Dave and Nancy? How bout that?

  • I am here to testify that that is true. WHen you put on the Word, which back then was just words that I didn't understand, when you say, YES, I believe that, Lord yes, I want to be like Him, then change occurs. Just like that little ol butterfly. I don't even look a worm anymore. I am a beautiful woman, with a Berean heart and I get back up if I fall down.

I did swing from trees when I was little, the Magnolias in our back yard. Like being launched into space. Til your mom catches you........

I enjoy Emerson, and Thoreau. Ahead of their time in many ways.

    I love this one:
Two roads diverged in the wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by,
and that has made all the difference.

When you do have to report for duty again?

  • Good morning, Matt,

Lou and Teresa live in New Knoxville. They are doing well. Their daughter, Stephanie, will graduate from Bowling Green SU this May. You can always contact them via P.O. Box 328 in NK.

    Have a blessed day!

  • Hi Matt, The devil you say!!! Cross the river and go to St. Paul???? For the Ice Festivus? Just kidding. Haven't thought about it yet. Oddly enough I have never been to the Ice Festival even though I have lived on the Minneapolis side of the river for going on 8 years. Probably because I read the Minneaplis StarTrib and they don't seem to mention it except when the Vulcans misbehave. I would suppose the St. Paul Pioneer Press would have more balanced coverage. Maybe I will get really cosmopolitan and read that newspaper for a change.
  • Hey Matt - Sara here (since Kevin doesn't get to the site much). I believe you must be writing about Lou (and Teresa). Lou is Kevin's brother and lived in Montana - a long time ago.
  • It was -7 on my way home from work and windchill felt like -30. Expect -14 overnight. That's a Minnesotan for ya - always have to talk about the weather.
  • Hi Matt,
I don't believe we know each other, but we have something in common.

I too, lived in Faribault, MN. On Third St, near the fire station. I was a WOW there with Marie Loggie (11th) and two guys. Trippy place. I loved the Nerstand forest just east of town. Did the diner near 35W burn down? I cursed it, just following up.....hee hee.
There was one fruit there, Debbie Banger, she had a son named Corey, know anything?

lemmee know and do you to Jesse James days in Northfield. There are believers up there still. Been there for years.
