About Me
Came upon this site by accident. Hope to catch up with some old friends and make new ones. I have a 24 year-old daughter, a fluffy little dust-mop of a dog ( Shitzu/Chihuahua mix), and am getting ready to downsize from a rambling 2 story house w/ yard to something smaller and simpler. Problem is, I'm torn- can't decide between a smaller house or if I should go for a condo!
My Interests
The beach, travel, reading, cooking, spending time with friends & family. I am very interested in "green" living, water conservation and healthy eating. My latest project is to try to grow my own organic herbs- so far, so good! (although the basil is looking a little droopy lately..)
Employment or Career
Marketing/Advertising/Public Relations
I am the marketing director for a national plumbing manufacturer.
Music I Like
Jazz- Miles Davis 'Kind of Blue' gets me every time...Charlie Parker,
Edith Piaf, Patsy Cline, Etta James, Bob Marley, Motown, House music, 70-80-90's classic rock- a little of everything.
Books I Like
I love to read and am a great fan of the public library. I recently finished "Intervention" by Robin Cook, a medical thriller about the discovery of an ancient artifact that supposedly contains the skeleton of Mary, mother of Jesus, and the possibility of extracting her DNA from a molar found in the skull. Very thought-provoking premise with lots of history about the early Church- 2 thumbs up! My personal library contains David Sedaris, Dr. James Herriot, Nick Hornsby, Jane Austen, Sue Grafton, Randy Wayne White, Sherman Alexie and non-fiction about art, design, marketing, etc, along with about 20 different cookbooks.
Television I like
X Files, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Top Chef, Project Runway and the occasional movie.
Movies I like
Blade Runner, Moonstruck, Cool Runnings, About A Boy, Mr. Blandings Builds his Dream House, Austin Powers, Zoolander, Gone with the Wind... too many to list. Most recently saw The Hurt Locker- sad, but powerful.
Sports Teams I like
Go Yankees!

Have a great day today dear sister Maron!, God is always blessing you and your family. Juan and Leilian Cabrera, Venezuela.
Happy birthday Marion
Don't think we have met but I just spent a weekend in your part of the world. I loved it! And I live in Bondi a beautiful beach in Sydney Australia. Well, I hope to visit again sometime and hope we could catch up, watching the sun set over the horizon. Have a swim for me!
I had no idea this was you. If you listed your name as Marion Dasbach Hendricks, you might hear from more people. I just got curious as to who this Marion Hendricks was and wondered if I might have some connection. Little did I know it would be my good friend! Thanks for all the wonderful memories! Usually they included some laughing! You are quite a treasure! Love ya! Donna
