About Me

It's nice to see so many familiar faces from such a special place in time... I moved to Hawaii in 1989 with my sister, thinking it would only be for a short time but it has become difficult to leave this beautiful place. I got married in 1995. (A little slow to the altar I guess:) My husband is a great guy...met him at the Rock...Ha!! We just had our first baby (July 2007) which was a miracle to say the least, and we are thrilled beyond words....a sweet little baby girl, Alana Nicole. Life here in the islands is something else. We absolutely love it. Since we have so many friends and family back East, we try and make it a point to go back often, at least once or twice a year. The believers here are as sweet as ever, so it's easy to want to stay here forever. And since my husband is a surfer I don't think we'll ever leave.....It's a nice place to raise a baby. The years I spent in The Way were some of the best years of my life, and I have no regrets. I made the best of friends during those days and they are still in my life. I'm thankful for the good memories....and for all that I learned through the many experiences...it was great.

My Interests

Of course God and His Word first and foremost, and being with others who feel the same. I love oil painting. I've taken alot of art classes here, from drawing, to ceramics, to painting, but my love is painting. I also love to snow ski even though you don't get much of that here...Ha!! We just make it a point to go in the winter when we can. It's an easy flight from here to get to Whistler. I also love the beach....go figure...

Employment or Career

At this moment in time I am a stay-at-home mom and loving every minute of it. Up until I had my baby, I was running a Daycare.

All kinds.

Books I Like

I like novels and educational books

Television I like

Not much time for TV in Hawaii, but I'm a sucker for the late night shows, and still watching Seinfeld re-runs.

Movies I like

Drama and Comedy mostly

Sports Teams I like

Since I'm from the Burg, I'd have to say the Steelers

Greg Moore and I are still best friends. My endeavor is to daily MUCK with him. It is a huge source of our humor relationship. We daily make each other laugh. I believe the LORD enjoys it and laughphs with us. Having fun in the LORD makes life fun.

Hi Lisa, I don't go to this site very often either and it was a nice surprise to hear from you. Things are really happening in New York and its all because of God. He has been very good to us and our expectations from Him have abounded. I can finally see word over the world again. But to tell you the truth I'd rather be in Hawaii. I am an ocean person. Hi Lisa and Patrick, God bless you guys and what a pleasant surprise. I usually don't go to any of those Corps things but I thought I would just to see who I might run into. Awesome!!! I still live in upstate New York and run a fellowship here. I have been doing quite a bit of traveling in the last couple of years to learn more on what God has in store and it has been awesome!!! I went to India 3 times and to France just recently to visit the believers there. My son Jesse runs a fellowship with his friend Blake Barbera in San Diego. I am so proud of him. My daughter just finished her first year of College. My wife is a school teacher and me, I'm a bum. I just ride my Harley to places like the Bad Pig Saloon, go on bike runs, and have lots of fun!!! That is not all I do. Just kidding!! Hope to see you soon, I don't know when. Probably in the air. And its so great to see you with a baby. That is a blessing from God. YOu never come down. Love you. Hey Lisa, sorry it took awhile to get back to you. What a wonderful new baby you have. Congrats to you and your husband. What, are you in some kind of fountain of youth place? You don't look any different than when we were WOW's in MN.! I gotta move to Hawaii. Glad to hear your husband is a surfer. How's the surf lately? Which island are you on? One of my friends here in MI that I surf with on Lake Michigan is Scott Sportel. His sister is Beth Rix who lives on the Big Island in Kona. I haven't made it to HI to surf yet, just California a few times and Florida. Thanks for helping me get through the insanity of that year in Minnesota. You kept it light! Brian

Hi Lisa, You don't know me but I think your husband has two brothers Todd an Shawn? I hope this is his bro. Anyway we were W.O,W.s in Des Moines Iowa in 85 and 86 and I have wondered about those boys for years. Shawn and I were particularly close. I would love to hear how they are doing and if there is a way to get in touch with them. And my Mom would love to hear about LeAnn. I sure would appreciate hearing from you. Bless!
