About Me

I moved back home to Golden, CO in 1998, and started my financial services practice in 1999. In 2006 I became a single parent via divorce. (How's that for politically correct?) I live on the west edge of the Denver metro area with lots of open space around me, where I enjoy walking with my dog and my best friend, Barbara. It's a nice place to ride my horse, too.

My Interests

My family and my business, of course. I love God and learning more of His Word, and it's great to get a different perspective on things from different viewpoints. I love to hunt and ride my horse and my Harley. I still help my old friend, Jerome Robinson, with the production end of a couple of rodeos every year. In the last few years I have really enjoyed getting into snorkeling.

Employment or Career

I am a financial advisor, specializing in retirement and estate planning. I work with a lot of small business owners. I started in 1999, and in 2004 I completed the requirements for my CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation. I work with AXA Advisors, a global financial and insurance company, as a District Manager in the Denver Branch. I love what I do and it's very fulfilling, seeing how it helps people.

Music I Like

Both kinds, Country and Western. Some old, some new. Toby Keith, Hal Ketchum. I like a little Rock and Roll, too. Bon Jovi, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart.

Books I Like

I mostly read things that help me with my business and that motivate me. I recently read "It's Your Ship" by Michael Abrashoff. Excellent! I really enjoyed "Influence" by Robert Cialdini, too.

Television I like

About all I watch is Sports and Movies.

I enjoy telling that story, too. Editing was a side job. I still help people out now and then with things they need done. I've been in Human Resources for about ten years now and started in management about 5 years ago. I still love the recruiting side of it more.

25 years maybe. who knows? looked at your web site...aren't you quite the businessman? Looks good. I miss Colorado; but do love Charlotte. How about your kids? ages, etc....are you a grandaddy yet? Amazing how many people have found this site. I've had a lot of fun with it.

Hey, Kipp. Didn't know about you and Rosann. Oh well, happens to the best of us. Many here have been through a marital status change. Life moves on anyway and we can enjoy it to its fullest in spite of changes that occur. Glad you're doing well. Great to see you here! Hope you get to see a few old friends on here and catch up like I have been doing.

Thanks for being encouraging and helpful to me even when I was screwing up right and left in the 7th Corps when you guys had the task of overseeing some of us young fools. Ha, ha.

Still with Axa I see. A great company. Your picture on your website looks good. We should talk to you one of these days about financial planning, estate stuff, etc.

There are so many on here....I am at work and have not had time to say hi to everyone, but wanted to especially say hi to you real quick.....I will be back later. Love to your family. Post a few pictures when you can.
