About Me

In 1994 my family and I (Georgie and our girls Tiffany, Chelsea and Abby) picked up and moved from the UK to the USA and settled in San Jose CA. We love it here and felt at home right away. Its lovely to have such wonderful weather and to have such beautiful places like Lake Tahoe and the coast so accessible. Georgie and I love to go for long walks by the ocean. After 27 years of being married there is no one I would rather spend time with. But all of that pales to insignificance compared to the hope we have in Christ Jesus and the coming Kingdom of God. I put the Fireside song on my playlist because I know of no other song that so exemplifies the way I feel about the scriptures and more importantly the Lord God who authored them. There's is nothing that challenges more, thrills more, causes to joy and rejoice. One thing I have learned is that the fear of the Lord is the begining of knowledge (Prov 1:7) Its only then that we truly begin to learn. Something I see repeatedly is that the Lord God feeds those who are hungry, those who seek, knock and ask will be filled. He certainly did that for me and for that I will always be truly grateful to Him.

Employment or Career

I think the 7 dwarfs got it right I ow I ow so its off to work I go!!! But seriously, I work as a computer programmer and now work for a small start up company developing a really cool business application which really challenges me but that's a good thing.

Music I Like

All sorts The Beatles have to be my all time favorite Paul McCartney his most recent stuff is the best in years All sorts of other stuff that I avoided for years, Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, even Abba (OK you can shoot me now but after seeing the recent movie Mamma Mia it's really fun.)

Books I Like

Bible, Historical fiction not the Jane Austin kind but more of the James Michner style

Television I like

Gave up on TV we now just watch DVD's from the library and Netflix. Mainly British comedies and drama

Movies I like

As above.

John, I will not allow you to make me envious (well maybe a little) The nice thing there is you get the weather. It is not quite the same being on a links course with a force 6 gale stopping your ball from going anywhere and the rin pouring down the back of your neck. You do not know me but I know your sister-in-law Pat. She was my matron of honor and I hers. I love her dearly we do not write, talk or email because of life happenings but she is still truely loved and thought of if you see her can you give her my love! The older I get the more I see we just need to believe in the life each of us have chose with God and to hell with the rest. Life is to short and people are too special.

Any success I have ever had is o of my doing. It is grace upon grace that I have ever achieved anything and compared to others it is very little. I do however strive to achieve great things fro Him before I depart this earth.

Yeah well, Holes in one are the aim but I have seen some very funny ones achieved. So I am not convinced it is all about skill. Have a great time. Take your silent digital camera and send me a photo of you two and Tiger. Love you both, Don
