About Me
In 1994 my family and I (Georgie and our girls Tiffany, Chelsea and Abby) picked up and moved from the UK to the USA and settled in San Jose CA. We love it here and felt at home right away.
Its lovely to have such wonderful weather and to have such beautiful places like Lake Tahoe and the coast so accessible. Georgie and I love to go for long walks by the ocean. After 27 years of being married there is no one I would rather spend time with.
But all of that pales to insignificance compared to the hope we have in Christ Jesus and the coming Kingdom of God. I put the Fireside song on my playlist because I know of no other song that so exemplifies the way I feel about the scriptures and more importantly the Lord God who authored them. There's is nothing that challenges more, thrills more, causes to joy and rejoice. One thing I have learned is that the fear of the Lord is the begining of knowledge (Prov 1:7) Its only then that we truly begin to learn.
Something I see repeatedly is that the Lord God feeds those who are hungry, those who seek, knock and ask will be filled. He certainly did that for me and for that I will always be truly grateful to Him.

So good to hear from you, I look forward to the phone call. It is best to call after 7pm central unless it is Friday, then make it eight. My luv to georgie! God bless you all.....DB
Just been looking at your lovely photos..you all look really great! California looks fantastic!
Can you believe it..our daughter Esther has been offered a place on a music course in July in Santa Barbara (she plays violin)..still deciding if it's feasible for her to go.Maybe I could come as well? Have to think it through in light of Brian's work and care of Iain(he's 7). We'll see.
Your description of Santa Barbara definitely fuels my desire to visit! Sounds fantastic.I'll keep you posted. How far away do you live from Bob and Annie?
Bye for now
PS.Give my love to Georgie! :)
Gosh, I'm sorry I don't remember, but everyone seems to remember my laugh. (maybe I should sell it on DVD!?!) Yes, much has transpired since we met. The death of my sister has left a scar on my heart for many reasons, but I am sooo thankful for the Hope and knowing we will have the perfect mind one day. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for remembering me with fondness. Those were amazing days that we shared in Manchester...the Word, the love and the heart among the believers changed our lives.Isnt God so good to allow us to live and move and have our being in Him?
Love Alison
okay i will have to dig up the number for you
don't worry about the loopy one.... she would probably be my favorite !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
love you
Well, I must be honest - this photo is two years old now. Thanks for the kind comments though :-) No, I haven't heard from Alison in a very long time. I loved your comment about the baby boomer music. It's true!! My 16 yr. old son knows more about that era's music than I do!! Lots of love to you and Georgie :-)
Not God's plan for us to stay in the states, but things have worked out really well for us back here.
Good to hear about your life. I have a business friend in the UK and he is tearing his hair out --(actually he is bald so he must have been successful) Business is good. At some time I need to port my musical fountain software out of VB6 into VB.net but am waiting for a project to justify it. We have a couple of projects out in the LA area, so I may be making it out to the west coast in a few months.
