  • Johanna,

What a delight to hear from you and to learn that you too are a published poet. I love to celebrate the goodness of God through poetry and other artforms. I have published a collection of poetry called STONE UPON STONE: PSALMS OF REMEMBRANCE. It was among the first works published through Ambassador Press, LLC which I established in 2005. You can obtain copies of the collection through Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble or any other bookstore.

In addition to straight poetry, I have also published essays and other forms of creative non-fiction in which I incorporate some of my poetry. Here is the website for the National Education Association Journal THOUGHT AND ACTION where I published such an essay which was a tribute to teachers. I also related how I came to be involved in teaching on the University level. Certainly teaching at The Way College of Emporia was a catalyst for my embarking on that journey.

Just wanted to say God bless, and as they say down South "haller back at ya.'

  • Hi Joanna,
It's wonderful to see you again. Your photo looks great. Living in NY with two daughters age 23 & 21. Lot's of work and lot's of fun as well. God is good for sure and still seeing the signs miracles and wonders by His grace and mercy.
    My best to your family

  • Johanna, So great to see your smiling face. I can't believe how old your kids are now. They were so little when we lived in Wichita. Duh. Ours are alot older too. Glad all is well with you. Love, Joy

So great to see you in the 4th corps group! I speak Spanish pretty fluently and have travelled to Spain when my daughter, Emily was there. She was a Spanish major and works for the Latino Economic Development Council in DC and my daughter Jessi is married to a man who's family is from Honduras. I ahve also been to Mexico and Columbia, but Costa Rica is my favorite. Let's be friends on the web site so we can talk more.
  • Hey Jo,
sure glad to here from you. Isn't God good:) We are doing great with so many of God's blessings. We are here in Tarboro NC having the time of our lives. Patrick is married to Yadi and live about 10 miles away and Sally is in her 2nd year at Meridith Colege.
    Love ya
    Steve
  • Hiya Jo !!!!
  • Hey Joanna! Great to see you again. I miss Wichita but have no connections there now. Remember the fellowship in my basement. Great times. We don't travel to Mexico. Our thing is the Caribean. Your family sounds wonderful.
  • Yikes! How come I'm the only one around here who's aged tragically!!!

Johanna - gosh. Amazing. Good to sEe you. I'm still getting around here and figuring things out. Love ya!
  • Hey Johanna, Yes, Steve mom still lives in Wichita. Also 2 brothers and a sister. He's so busy, never makes it out there. A few years back Sally (my daughter) and I drove across the states to visit. She especially enjoyed sitting at the bar with those bronze statues. Isn't it great to be in touch. Love, Sara
  • Hi Johanna:
Do I still need to pronounce your name Yohanna;) You sure look great and it looks like your quit the travel lady. I've been to Veneszula 3 times but no Spanish speaking for me yet...a few words so that I can eat and find the bathroom, in that order. Kids sure are great. My Rachel lives near me now in Chicago but Jason is in Columbus, OH for now. Please keep in touch.
    Charlie
