Thanks for your note about my sister. Unfortunately, my mother passed away in 1992 and my dad in 2003. I am comforted by the hope of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ when I will see them all.
I saw pictures of your kids on Robin's website.…"

  • Hi Jo Ellen,

How are you guys? Ya know, we actually lived in Wasilla back in 2002/03? We went up there to manage a dog boarding kennel off of the Parks Highway by the old Dead Dog Saloon, almost to Big Lake. But that only lasted a year, and we moved back to Haines where our house was/is. But we have since moved to Juneau, and have been here since 2005. We still own our Haines house which we plan to sell, and are looking to buy here, maybe. Sound real sure of what we want to do eh? Hah!

While in Wasilla, I do believe I remember talking to Steve Lowder, but he was moving or had moved south somewhere. Maybe I'd connected with him on the internet, I can't remember. I can't remember why in the world we didn't try and hook up with you guys (or did we?-"brain cloud'), but anyway, here we is. Still Alaskans, but down here in the rain and by the cold green sea. But I do love being close to the sea, and I am glad it's not the opaque Cook Inlet with all of the glacial silt and that. No moose here, but plenty of deer to put in the freezer, and the fresh salmon, halibut, shrimp and crab is awesome. Our daughter, Meagan, now 23 is an Oiler/Junior Engineer on one of the State Ferries. In fact, she has the exact same job I used to have on the M/V Matanuska, and even lives in the same crew quarters that I lived in for three years! Amazing that she wanted to become a marine engineer like her Dad. My of my how interesting life can be! The rest of the kids (the boys) are fine too. And so, thanks for the note Jo Ellen, and tell Mike I said howdee do!

  • Jo Ellen,
My heart leaped when I saw you guys here. Do you remember me, we were just very close such a long time ago but with age comes loss of memory so I am just checking. If you do remember me I will write more later. If not then I guess I will just have to go somewhere and have a good cry. Love the pictures. You all look the same and I love that grin on Michaels face. Love you, drop me a line.

  • Hi Jo Ellen,
It's great to hear from you and know that you and your family are doing well. Say hi to Mike for us.
    God bless you,

  • Hi Jo Ellen, sure is great to see pics of you guys. If my scanner worked, I could add some of my own from 31 years ago when Mike married us. I think the whole thing was a "DARE YOU" to us by Mike and it actually worked! We did it. We may never have gotten married otherwise. I sure needed a push. Ha.
Wonderful to see you and Mike and your family. It must be hard to have your kids so far away. Do you get to the states often?
I have to ask how you sell houses the half a year it's dark there? I was always told never to buy a car in the dark.
Glad you came on board and send my love to Mike. Danny and I joined a Methodist church a few years back and are amazed at how much we still are learning.
Please keep in touch. My email: pbrewyet@yahoo.com. Danny's is 2slickduck@cox.net. He wanted me to add that for him.
    Love Ya! Patti
  • Wow Girl you look great. All of yall really.
Bo and Stanley stopped by a few weeks ago I asked if he knew how to get yall and here you are.
Patti and I are still here in BR our home.
I will have to post a few more pictures.
Mike looks happy being a granddad.
    Red hair and all.
  • Thanks for posting these pictures. Your family looks great.
