About Me
I am extremely blessed to be married to Susie (32 years now). She has such a handle on relationships, as well as, many other things. I am most fortunate. Our kids have ended up being our best friends. Ruth married Sean Finnegan and gave birth to Noah (Feb 13, 2006) and is expecting another son next month. They live in Schenectady, NY where Sean is an assistant pastor at Vince's church in Latham. John graduated Magna Cum Laude (sorry, the proud father comes out) from Cornell in Landscape Architecture. He married Grace DeNenno who is an extremely talented artist (check out her website www.gracepaints.com), and they live in Washington, D.C. John coordinates a home fellowship and works at Oehme van Sweden & Associates (a landscape architect firm). Priscilla needs to complete an internship, and then she will have earned a bachlor's degree at the New England Culinary Institute (near Burlington, VT). We are the happy beneficiaries of her love for cooking. I am only 10 lbs. over weight!
My Interests
Susie and I still love God (I'm sure you feel the same ...it's tough not to) and are blessed to have a small and growing fellowship in our home. The desire to serve has not always been hot, but (probably like you) we have crossed a few spiritual valleys and that desire to serve, thankfully, has grown. We are blessed to still be in the race and be in a position to help people. God continues to work with us teaching and leading us to new understandings and confirming old truths. I am thankful for what I learned under Dr. Wierwille's leadership and at the Way International. Perhaps like you, I have changed some of my beliefs, but this, I think, is only normal as one continues to question and to grow. Some have 'thrown out the baby with the bath water'. I am glad to be thankful for the past and to hold on to what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and of good repute (Philip 4:8).
Employment or Career
After leaving HQ (March of 1990) we moved to NJ where I got a promising job in the Grounds Maintenance/Landscaping Contracting field (no surprises in my career path). With the recession we had that following year I was laid off and got a much better position (July 1991) as Grounds Supervisor at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ. I became a union worker, but one that is, hopefully, worth his benefits. The benefits are great ... a lot of time off which is really nice to have ... especially, now that our kids are spread out a bit. The college has grown both physically and enrollment wise ... over 15,000 commuting students on a 110 acre campus. I like to say it's 'the good life' because my office is 110 acres. I have a small in-house crew and work a lot with contractors. I have been involved in the Horticulture Department and the student body (reminds me of the Way Corps, but not quite the same!) It has been a great job for me with a wonderful community of staff, faculty and administration. However, the time is coming for Susie and I to make a change soon ... would like relocate to be closer to our kids (at least one of them) and to be closer to a community of believers. As I have gotten older I have discovered that change requires more courage (I'll speak for myself... perhaps, I have been too comfortable!). Please pray for us ... for courage to make the necessary changes and for God's timing. Thank you and God bless you!
Music I Like
Mostly Christian music that Susie plays that Don MacMillan has given us who is a great source of music that praises God and edifies believers.
Books I Like
Currently reading Dallas Willard's "Hearing God ... Developing a Conversational Relationship with God". Also, John Bogle's "The Little Book of Common Sense Investing". Have recently read R.T. Kendall's "Pure Joy" and Jerry Bridges' "The Puruit of Godliness" All of these are a good read.
Sports Teams I like
All New York teams.

I recall doing everything we were assigned to do without complaining: digging holes and trenches, moving wood, planting trees, and never having the chance to ride the Cushman or a Grasshopper (I guess I'm still jealous).
I missed you and Susie when you went to the Family Corps. I've always held you folks in high regard, and I still do.
I do not know if you will remember me or not, but I do you with fondness and thankfulness.

How are you my wonderful brother in Christ! I always thind about you because you are the proximate cause of my being born-again. Aren't you glad you witnessed to me in 1973? I sure am, It has been a wonderful journey (that has included many challenges) for me all of these years. I am so happy for the life your children are living. If you speak to Susan she will update you on my plans for the future.
I am happy and continuing to grow as I work with the Special Needs students at a local middle school in Stamford. As a matter of fact it is at Rippowam where you witnessed to me.
Anyway, because you listened to God and spoke His Word to me-you literally changed my life and lives of hundreds of people I have been able to help and not only during my time with the Way International but most definitely these past 13 years I was working for the Urban League. There are so many youth who are now graduating from college, beginning careers, starting families and not engaged with the criminal justice system. I have been able to be a significant part of culture in Stamford.
