About Me
I did finally finish the corps, but with the 17th corps, graduating with my brother who is still with the Way and still Way Corps in the eyes of the organization.
I started college with the intention of studying Nuclear Engineering. Accelerated Transmutation of Waste was my interest. Maybe I will blog a little about that later. But I knew I would eventually have to transfer to K-State and working full time with children established in schools I realized I couldn't uproot them or my work for my education and decided that being a Math and Physics teacher in the high school would suffice. It would give me more time with my kids, and allow me to venture into the areas I love to ponder.
I have worked as a programmer/analyst for the last 17+ years. All I can say about that is this is a profession God gave to me. I loved it from day one but it is demanding and you can never master the field as it is constantly changing. Right now I have completed the analysis and design on a bankruptcy project and am almost completed with the first phase of the data structure, core processing, and the interface. I am getting to use Java with this very cool plugin called the Spring Framework which were new to me when I began, but now my boss thinks I am truly a geek since I love what I do so much. He may be right.
Last June I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I am fully able and I know God won't allow me to be tempted above that which I can stand. So as my late counselor would say, I am an optimist,,,still. You can still see that shit eating grin on my face. It will never fail, because God has never let me down.
Today I have 3 lovely children Sara 15, who is one of the most talented kids I have seen. She has had agents and casting directors in LA show interest in her singing and acting talent (but the child can dance too.) We didn't move to LA because she has friends here but she will be heading out there in 2 and a 1/ 2 years to attend college.
Scotty my 10 year old is a brilliant kid. If it interests him he will learn all he can about it. He is a wealth of knowledge and definitely a self study. He is living proof that kids with ADHD can excell. He is also a terrific character actor already at 10, and plays the trumpet. His goal is also to be an actor but he is considering meteorology, or zoology as his backup plan.
Bethany is my 8 year old. She's my sweetheart. Always giving always sharing. She has been singing and acting too (the apples didn't fall far from the tree.) She shows tremendous potential especially in the singing category and because she is more dedicated to practice then Sara ever was I believe she will someday surpass Sara. Her goal is to be a Rock Star.
They are wonderful kids and many times what keeps me going.

It's good to hear from you! I just read your page, it sounds like you've done a lot of good things since last we talked! I too am a bit of a geek, not a programer, but a Systems Engineer. I recently landed a great job at a company that I used to work for. I left for a while and they lured me back. It's a real good company.
I have two great kids. My daughter Kelsey is 16 years old and lives with me. My son Chris is 14 and lives across town with his mother. I don't see him as much as I would like to, but that has gotten better lately.
I was married for 25 years (to Sue), we recently got divorced about 5 months ago. We are still civil to each other. We had more good years than bad years. No drama, no lawyers.
A just got back from teaching a Bilble study down at a little store front church in Manchester, NH. I would have laughed out loud if someone told me back when that I would be teaching at a store front church, but sometimes God leads us to places that we would not go on our own.
I am really glad that I found this web site, its great to reconnect with old friends, it's good for the soul.
Please stay in touch!
Love
Vince
Family is fine. We're packing up a pop-up and going camping in the mountains of Tennessee in a month or so. Looking forward to it; so are the kids!

OMG back at ya.I have been thinking so much lately about you, your family, the Sabos, and the rest of the Trenton gang. Another friend from Jersey gave me all the Janet Evanovich books to read and the "Burg" is in there a million times! What a great year that was, and I will remember your family fondly for my entire life. There actually is quite a Jersey presence here in Idaho and we always spend Thanksgiving together. Your kids are great looking.A whole new generation. My daughter turns 21 this month and it seems impossible. God bless and talk to you soon. Always a Jersey girl at heart, Gwen
