"Thanks for the B/D greeting! July/Aug was a busy month for birthdays. My son Michael turned 19 on the 16th of Aug and my daughter Katie turned 15 on the 8th of July.
What a blessing to have gone to SA. For many years I have wanted to do that. I do…"
"Terri, God bless you! Thanks for the B/D greeting. Michael turned 19 on the 16th of August and Katie turned 15 on the 8th of July. I should have pics of all of us up on the site very soon.
"Claire, Bless your heart! I will give Joe a call in the next couple of days. Would really love to say "hi". I noticed on your page you said that Ken Strother is in your fellowship. I have a good friend that lives in Hendersonville and is looking for…"
God Bless! This is Joe Wood. You may not remember me but we graduated from the 13th Corps together. Do you have a fellowship? Have a good friend that is looking for a fellowship. If so, please email me at jwood2088@yahoo.com. Thanks, God…"
"Greg, God bless! Good to hear from you! That is some fish in your pic? What kind was it? Carp? I have not been in a field for many years now. However I do get the urge from time to time especially in the fall of the year. Looks like you have a…"
"Yeah Matt, I remember! Good to hear that you still talk with the Father. Do not ever quit! Recently I read in 1 Timothy where Paul was exhorting Tim to fire up his ministry. If we ever need to do that, it would be now!
"Yes, that would be me! I go by Joe. Do not know why I put Frank up there! I will never forget your birthday when Michael Fort had us sing, "Hoppy Hoppy Birthday" to you. Of course because of your beautiful accent. Do you remember that?
"Vern/Jill, God's best to you!! Recently found this site and have been very blessed to see faces and names of folks that have blessed me over the years. Glad to hear that you all are still in love with the Word and boldly moving it. Take care!!"
"Sarah, Bless your heart!! Do not know if you will remember me or not. I was on staff at Emporia while you were there. Glad to hear that you are doing well. God's best to you!!"
"Claire, Thanks for the response!! Think of you guys often and have wondered where you ended up. Had heard that you had moved to NC but did not know where. If Joe does not want to say ‘hi’, tell him OK with me, but I still love him!! You all take…"
"Janis, If you spent any time at Emporia, I am sure we met. Glad to hear that you still love the Word and study. So often folks loose their passion. Thanks for the welcome note!!
"yeah, absolutely! Joe and Karen (?) were in residence on a temporary program my first year. I think they were there for 3 or 4 months. Got to know them very well. Have not heard or senn them since late 80's."
Hi Joe,
I had forgotten about the "Hoppy Hoppy Birthday" actually! It's good to be reminded of fun and friends and laughs and lessons and from those years in residence - such a long time ago! I'm about to arrange to meet up with people for a coffee or a beer/wine or a BBQ (a great Australian institution) - it's a bit too far (!), but it is a real treat to be able to find out what people are up to nowadays. What do you sell and manage?
Love,
Sarah
Thanks for the wonderful reply, yeah maybe we can get together sometime.Sounds like you have a great family too. That big fish of mine is the state record White Amur.Let me know when you post some pics, can't wait to see them. Until then God Bless you and yours again. Greg
Great to hear from you! Yes it is great to connect with people who still love the Word! We were recently at HQ for the Advanced Class Special (awesome!) and I was wondering if you were still in the area. Good ole St Marys I see!
Bless you big time,
Vern
Hi Joe,
I think we were paired up for one of those formal "doos" when I was in residence with the 14th Corps.
