About Me
Vince and I have been (happily) married for 25 years now and have four children (a girl and three boys), ages 12-20. Vince works for the City of Tucson and has an architecture practice here at home. We travel often with our family and love living in Tucson because it gives us the city life and the wild west! I have a sister (Liz Jay--8th Corps married to Peter Jay--11th, Ann Hill--6th Corps married to Mark Hill--11th). Vince and I lived in Flagstaff for three years after Corps graduation (1983) and then moved to Tucson after that to start our family.
My Interests
Traveling and reading. Vince and I are going to China in October with our 18 year old son. We love historical places and have tramped all over the U.S. mainly. We travel often with the Knopfs (Paul, 11th & his wife Christine) and with all our kids over the years.
Employment or Career
I have been a stay-at-home mom all these years except for owning and managing apartments (done with that!) and bookkeeping/paperwork for Vince's architecture business. My new "career" is our eight-month old chocolate lab named Joey. It's like having a toddler. We walk and go to the dog park, so I am one of those people at the dog park. I will post photos at some point. My real career is managing my family and home. I have two kids in college and three still at home.
Music I Like
Select songs from different genres, but I mostly love country music, the fiddle, banjo and guitar.
Books I Like
Autobiographies, biographies, and non-fiction. I am working on reading my Bible in a year (love the NLT version!)
A Cowboy and His Elephant
True Stories of the Tracker (Tom Brown)--remember him?
God's Smuggler (Brother Andrew--updated)
Marley and Me (that was so Vince and I with our first dog!!!)
That list is just for starters...
Television I like
48 Hours Mystery
Dancing with the Stars
America's Most Wanted
Flip This House
Late night ER Trauma Discovery Health Shows
Movies I like
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Uncle Buck
Can't think of any others at the moment
Sports Teams I like
U of A Basketball
Whatever sports teams my kids are on

I forgot that we share the same birthday. Of course you had to remind me about the year. I don't mind turning 50 this year. It's been a while since I was on the site too. It's been a real uplifting feeling to find some familiar faces and reminisce on the good things that I experienced back then. It’s good to see how most people on the site are still faithful to God and seeking His will.
Please send my love to Vince.
Happy 48th!
How are you?
I just found this sight and it brought back some fond memories. I'm going through my old photos to scan and put on this site when I saw a photo from a hoedown. I believe that was the 1st dance our 1st year at Emporia. I believe you were my 1st date in the Corps.
Tell Vince I said hello, I'm glad to see you're a happy household. You have a great looking family.
God Bless,
TC
Don't know if you remember me, I first took the class in Topeka in 1977. I was living in a halfway house after being in Menningers for over a year. (The greater the deliverance the greater the commitment, I should write a book!!) Deb Myers witnessed to me, Rick and Patti (?) ran the class in the basement of a bank. Do you know what ever happened to Deb? She was ninth corps, I believe.
Wow, what a beautiful family! Our oldest son, Steven got married this summer. We work at the same place which is a blessing. Our daughter, Alexandra, is back at college as a sophmore. She got a full ride, food, books, room & board and tuition. But the best part of it is she is only 20 minutes from home and comes home for weekends. Joseph, the youngest, is a freshman in high school. He doen't drive yet, so I run him around - a lot! How about you Vince? I still want to call him Vinny but it looks like he is going by Vince. Do you ever hear from any more of our WOW extended family?
Love and blessings,
Vicki
Thanks for the note. Those murals were kind of a new plateau for me. I had a wonderful time with them. I don't know if Liz told you, but all of my kids, and some friends were models for that. The only one not in it is Ellen! She was chicken, and now wishes she wasn't. Say hi and give my best to Vince. God Bless.
Be blessed,
Lonnell
