About Me

I was in the 18th Corps alongside of my ex-husband John. We have been divorced a little over a year. We have 2 children, ages 13 and 15 who live with me full time.

Employment or Career

Music I Like

I love all types of music, but especially love the singing of Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. I also like to listen to Enya, Michael W. Smith, Jeremy Camp, BlackCowboy, Paul Carrack, Ray Lynch, John Tesh, Yanni, George Winston(piano solos) and certain classical pieces.

Books I Like

Obviously the Bible being the greatest book of all times. My favorite Bible as of late to read is Joel Osteen's. He has many inspirational teachings incorporated within. I have read many interesting books lately "Who Switched Off my Brain" by Dr. Carolyn Leaf was excellent...concerning toxic thinking. I read the "Twilight" series (since all the girls in my YG went gaga over Edward)...I enjoyed her literary style, she is an excellent author, in my opinion. However, the content obviously isn't godly, but the underlying tone, to me, was that all people have the need for love. Nothing new under the sun. Also, a good book was "You'd Be Pretty If..." By Dara Chadwick, book about teaching girls to love their bodies(since I work with teen girls I look for any info to help them). An interesting read was "Falling in Love For All The Right Reasons" by Dr. Neil Clark Warren(eharmony). Also I read "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. Being a former Roman Catholic it captivated my attention.

Television I like

My father was a detective in Philadelphia growing up so my interest is in many of the crime solving shows. CSI, Bones, The Mentalist and also the kids and I like "So You Think You Can Dance", The latter favorite is due in part to our love to dance.

Movies I like

Wow...this will give me away as to the type of person I am..Here goes: "Pride & Prejudice", "The Notebook", "Braveheart", "Amazing Grace", Chariots of Fire", "One Night with the King", "The Ultimate Gift", "Freedom Writers", "Timeline", "The Inheritance", "P.S. I Love You", "Twilight", The Lord of the Rings" trilogy...just to name a few...*haha*

Sports Teams I like

Any team my son plays on...Soccer. Other then watching him or my daughter who is into martial arts, I am not much of a sports enthusiast.

Everything is "everything"... mostly good, some not so good... you know LIFE in all its glory, lol.

Ben is on the brink of turning 17, and will start his Sr. year of HS this fall. Already knows what college he wants to attend and will be spending some time there this summer in a program they call "college prep". He hopes to be an artist and definitely has talent but he hasn't figured out exactly what field to focus on.

I have had some financial setbacks recently but am trying to use them as an opportunity to rethink some things and hopefully it will all come out better on the other end.

What about you?

Sorry to hear about you and John. My Jon and I split eight years ago and while whe have worked hard to get along and raise our only son, Benjamin, it's certainly not what either of us planned... But you keep moving forward and God will keep revealing his blessings in your life.

Your childrend are just BEAUTIFUL. You must be so proud!!

It is great to hear from you! And I checked out the photos of on your profile - your kids are beautiful! You were pregnant with number 1 when we last saw you!! Wow! Our kids, Lindsay and Nathan, are 20 and 19 - both in college. We live in SC along the coast - been here about 10 years. We have been blessed, and now are enjoying the "empty nest." We keep in touch with the Allinders from the Maryland days - thats about it. Daryl sends his greetings to you! Great success to you in your novel career!

How cool to hear from you. Gosh your page here is neat. I wish I had the time to figure out how to do something with mine. The web site is an ongoing project and gets low on the priority list sometimes. It is all the kids doing. I never touch it, but occasionally suggest that they fix some of the English that is too off. Come to visit sometime. The kids are wonderful hosts and I love visitors. Stay in touch. I WAS BEING TREATED WITH AYURVEDA OIL TREATMENTS THAT WERE PERFORMED FOR HEALING AND CLEANSING OF THE BODY BOTHE EXTERNALLY AND INTERNALLY(THE SEGEMENT WILL BE IN THE FILM/DOCUMENTRAY THAT I WAS FILMED IN)..AT ANY RATE I WAS WRAPPED IN A TUNIC,LIKE A COTTON LOINCLOTH/GSTRING/JOCK STRAP...WAS WASHED ONE RISHI WHOSE SOLE DUTY WAS TO DO SO, AND THEN I LEARNED THAT I WAS INSULTING THE TWO-THREE RISHIS BECAUSE I WASNT WASHING MY FEET..WHICH I KNEW AND TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT...THAT IT WAS PART OF THE CULTURE AND WAS A WAY TO SHOW REVERENCE AND RESPECT(NAMASTE) FOR PEOPLE AND EACHOTHER..IT WAS FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE OF BIBLICAL TRUTH AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION IN THE 21ST CENTURY..I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED IN MY FORSIGHT AND FRGETFULLNES, BUT ALAS WHEN I STARED TO DO THE WASHING OF MY OWN FEET I HAD TWO RISHIS STOP ME AND DO IT FOR ME...I WAS IN TEARS (ASI AM NOW) IT WAS SO LOVING AND BEAUTIFUL , I REALLY BEGAN TI FEEL LIKE JESUS CHRIST AND IT GOT EVEN MORE SPIRITUAL AS I WAS ANOINTED IN OIL FROM HEAD TO FOT...I AM ONLY REALLY REMEMBERING THIS LIKE IT HAPPENED YEASTERDAY AND AND HAVE TO PAUSE TO WIPE THE TEARS AWAY FROM MY FACE...IT WAS A SUCH A REWARDING/HUMBLING/HONORING/EXILIRATING EXPERINCE..I WAS SO HONORED TO HAVE OILS POUREDOVER MY HEAD WHICH WAS ANOINTED WITH OILS..FOR THREE STRAIGHT WEEKS...IT WAS SO REALXING..I HAD THIS DONE DAILY A[FOR AN HOUR THEN HAD MY WHOLE BODY, BACK,;LEGS, NECK FEET ARMS MESSAGEDD BY RISHIS...IT WAS TOTALLY RELAXING AND SOOOOOO RELAXING...WHEN I WAS FISNISHED I WAS TOLD I LOOKED LIKE I WAS JUST BEAMING AND WAS SO OOOOOOOO GERAT THE WAY I FELT...NEVER HAVE I FELT THIS WAY(EVEN WITH ALL THE POT/ALCOHOL/SHROOMS AND COKE I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST ,NOT ANY MORE)...NOTHIMNG COMPARED TO THE WAY THIS MADE ME FEEL...AND IT WAS SO BIBLICAL AND VERY GODLY...SO I REALLY EXPEIRENCED THE WHOLE AINOTED WITH OIL AND FEET BEING WASHED ALONG WITH BEING PREPARED FOR BEING ENTOMBED(ALA THE OILS AND MESSAGES..IT WAS AN EPGHIPHANY AND REALLY TAUGHT ME ABOUT HUMILITY AND HONOR...SO THE SPIRITUAL HUNGER IN INDIA IS THEIR IT NEEDS TO BE DRAWN OUT BY THE WESTERN CHRISTAINS AND THE CARE FOR OTHERS NEEDS TO BE APPLIED BY THE USA CITIZENS WHO ARE MORE INTERSETED IN THEMSELVES THEN THERE FELLOW MAN ,,,,SAD BUT TRUE
