Jeremy Brown (Jerry Brown's son)

Jeremy was injured in an accident last week. He suffered a tramatic head injury. God is healing him and his progress has been amazing. Please pray for him so that he can resume totally normal and complete activities. Hs is 15, a sophomore in High School. Thanks and God bless you. Jerry and Lynne Brown

  • Jerry and Lynne, I just now saw this posting. The picture of your kids is great! They are all so beautiful. I'll pray with you. Is Jeremy back to normal now? I have a 16year old son myself. My prayers are with you for your precious son! Love to you all. Donna

Just wanted you to know, you and your family are in my prayers.
  • You all, and specifically Jeremy, are in my prayers from this time on. I will pray with my wife tonight before we sleep.
  • How is Jeremy doing?

  • Thanks!
  • Hi Steve, I couldn't view your message. Jerry
  • Thanks Frank. I broke my neck too, at Way Corps week for the 10th corps. I remember absolutely everything - wierd! If you think I was bad off, you should have seen that horse. Never knew what hit him. haha.

I think we can take Jeremy out of rehab - after today. They even cleared him for most sports - no contact ones though. That is awesome bc we all play soccer on the weekends and he's missed 2 games already. He said he'll be willing to play in about 3 weeks mainly bc he still is quite fatigued.

I like your joke about "selective" memory. Right now, Jeremy is amazingly thankful to everyone and everything that moves. What a blessing. He knows that God healed him.

To everyone who's been praying for my son, Jeremy, my entire family and fellowship and everyone else involved here say - THANK YOU! Your good works will be soon rewarded by Jesus Christ himself - according to the last chapter in Revelations. Check it out. We're probably a lot closer to that time than any of us realize. Bring it on baby! Thanks again from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful love and care. Jerry
  • If his memory is anything like my sons was, is and probably will be, it's a generational thing called "Selective Memory" LOL!!!!

I wouldn't worry about his memory, The brain has many fail safes that God built into it. One of which is the loss memory of Traumatic incidences. This sometimes bleeds over into other memory components but over some time all the necessary parts do return. For instance, I cannot remember climbing and falling when I broke my neck and all I know is that i had a sore neck for a long time afterwards, Maybe thats why it took me 8 weeks before i saw a doctor. I still only remember sitting on the ground after the fall. not the climb or the fall itself.

You hear of traumatic things happening to people and they suddenly remember it and then it;s called "repressed memory syndrome", There is nothing wrong with not remembering an event like some of these. RMS was a term created by group attorneys for the defense of some bad guys, It has always had a negative conotation to it and thats because it is so 'hard' to prove. It's just that in the wonderful way that God made us we forget and don't remember and cannot recall with association events that are traumatic physically, mentally or emotionally ontil we can handle those things and can process them.

So, to kind of sum it up, don't worry about it, his mind is forgetful because of the accident and other things that he doesn't remember that you may think are unrelated he may not remember right now because the brain is associating those things with the event and it takes a little while for the disassociation to occur.

Praise God that we are so awesomely and wonderfully made.
