Lindsey was a wondeful woman of God..Costly to our God is the death of His saints.I had kinda lost track of her through the years but she still had a place in my heart. Please pray for her husband Stu Tinney to make it through this heartbroken timeMissing woman’s remains identifiedBy CHRIS GRAHAM/chrisgraham@c-dh.netAuthorities have identified a body found in the Duck River as Paula “Lindsay” Sale-Tinney, a 55-year-old Columbia woman who had been missing since March 27.Maury County Sheriff’s Detective Terry Chandler said he received a phone call from the Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville about 4 p.m. Thursday that Sale-Tinney had been identified using dental records. Her body was spotted by a Culleoka resident Wednesday about 8 miles away from where her car was found abandoned near the Duck River bridge on Sowell Mill Pike on March 27.Authorities combed the river for Sale-Tinney during the 12-day search that involved at least 100 people from the Maury County and Hickman County fire and rescue squads. Davidson County crews and cadaver dogs from Nashville assisted in the recovery efforts, which were hampered by heavy rain and a release from the Normandy Dam upstream. When Sale-Tinney was pulled from the river, her body was beyond recognition, authorities said. Chandler said the medical examiner ruled the official cause of death was a drowning suicide.Stu Tinney, Lindsay’s husband, said his wife had been disoriented and “had not been herself” for weeks. She was recovering from surgery and was prescribed numerous medications, including anti-depressants. He said he last saw her in their home a few hours before her car was reported abandoned. The Tinney family issued a press release Friday afternoon and declined any further comment. The family thanked the various law enforcement agencies and volunteers who participated in the search.“Throughout the horrible event, friends from Tennessee and across the country have displayed the kind of support and love that warrants mention. ... There are still so many unanswered questions that only time will make things clearer,” the statement read.“Lindsay was very active in the community and touched many people’s lives. Her love of animals, her passion for the outdoors and her love of family defined her. She will be greatly missed and our loss is immeasurable.”

Lindsay was in our fellowship in Nashville in the 80"s. She will be greatly missed. Stu Tinney, her husband was a great stripper bass fisherman and was quite famous around the Nashville area. I believed they moved to Columbia Tn. to open a swimming pool and spa business. My heart and prayers go out the Stu at this time. Please pray for him and his family
