and yes, I was a "force"... and still try to be ... perhaps a little more diplomatic and kind
    (sorry "mom" )
  • A wonderful variation on this recipe I tried and loved is as follows: 1 cup cashews, 1 cup of rolled oats and 1 1/2 cups of dates.
  • RE: Betty Bowen
If you would like to contact Betty Bowen directly, just give me a holler and I'll get you to her. Yes... she is alive and well and is (now - for almost 12 years) my mother-in-law, and she's in her healthy 80's and she "does" email and eats sushi!
    He has us blessed!

  • Hey Jon
I sent your blip about the recipe for braun to Betty (Bowen) and here is what she said...
    Love you man
    Cliff

    Hi Cliff,
Jon was almost right. It has more raisins than oats and peanuts - 1 cup peanuts, 1 cup rolled oats, and 1 and 1/2 cup of raisins. He was definitely a force in the food services department.
    Love you, Mom
    (note: "Mom" is Betty Bowen)
