Present Day Personality Egoism: Why It Is A Human Demon
Approaching this concept from the West, (pro = towards), we should have a simple understanding of the Greek word translated “demon,” before we get all the way to it (pros), into it (eis), in it (en), through it (dia), out of it (ek, but still attached) and away from it (apo).
Profane koine Greek used the words theos and daimon interchangeably. When Christian writers got to usage, a distinction was made between the two so that The God (o Theos) would be differentiated from a god (Theos) and demon (daimon).
The Greeks knew how gods are made.
Acts 17:16,21
Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him,
when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time
in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
A teaching, I remember from my time at Emporia, KS, whether by Dr. Wierwille or another teacher, was that Athens had so many gods that it had outlawed any more by the time Paul got there. He used “The Unknown God” to bypass that law, conveniently provided by the Athenians, just to cover themselves in case there was one they had missed.
The idea of a god is made by the present day self egoism in relationship to the outside world for protection against the elements, enemies or bad fortune, among others. Basically, constructed out of fear. Once the idea takes hold in a group, it gains power emotionally and in thought form. Instead of understanding that power is the creation of devotees, they are led by thought forms moved by emotions, disregarding the idea of a god’s original intent. The doctrines are rational to a point, but emotionally driven to create a group identity according to the god they created and now serve.
They become spokes-people for that god, because it cannot speak for itself. And so, idols are made to represent a god as a monument (a tomb) to the “life” they had given it. Once that group is dead, the power of the idol can only be re-energized by another group of human beings.
A god is only outside of human beings by representation of a material image. Inside is where the human created demon lives. It’s outside power and force is carried out by human beings in the material world, as history has shown time and time again over the centuries. Paul has something important to say to the Corinthians:
I Corinthians 12:1,2
Now concerning spiritual(s) (gifts is in italics and should not be considered), brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
The sense of the Greek words is stunning in the text, with the end point being “led away unto execution.” The beginning of that process was, in a sense, carried away by the emotions, but (an_egeiro) “up-aroused, up-excited and up-awakened” unto non-speaking images in the material mind. Who supplies the “speaking” for them? The present day personality self egoism.
This is the very same word, egeiro, without ana (up) used in Romans 10:9b, “that The God hath awakened a self out of (ek, out but still connected) a dead body.” Much different than waking up with excitement and arousal in a living body that is being led to execution. The difference is that The God leads to non-destruction, thus salvation.
The present day personality self egoism knows that it has a time limit. It has a beginning and an end, and knows by experience that it is not eternal. But, while in a living body, it employs itself with trickery to keep us from being awakened to who we really are in eternity, thus dethroning our real self, which The God awakens when we “put egoism to death,” (de-energize and assimilate).
While we allow it on the throne, it pollutes the temple of God, allowing unclean demons of its own making, to thrive and increase population at the foot of its usurping throne. It holds court with the gods it has made, but they end up controlling the egoism and depriving a human being of the life of God that should be in that human temple.
The standard teachings on demons is that they are outside us and can get in…that there is a being called The Devil and devil spirits that are OUTSIDE us. That teaching has done more to destroy the church than about anything I can think of, because it does not address the Legion we have created in us over a lifetime. It gives our egoism an enemy to fight on the outside and something to blame for responsibility beyond ourselves and our groups.
So, our human demon, plunges us into shame, guilt, hatred, grief, fear, desire, anger and pride. All of these are energetic levels that suck the life of God out of the human being. (See: Healing and Recovery, by Dr. David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., for scientific proof). The results are dis-eases and illnesses in the physical, emotional and mental bodies. The good news is all of it can be reversed and the body, emotions and mind returned to good health and well-being.
This article has brought us all the way to (pros) the target of its aim. If we choose to do so, we can enter, be in, go through and out of the subject, so we can go away from it (apo) by awakening to truth and life while we are in the way regaining our real identity in eternity.
Some doctrines make us wait until “a gathering together” while our egoism keeps us from being perfected in Christ Jesus. Until now, we haven’t known any better. Western Christianity, in all its group forms, is leading us to execution, up-exciting, up-awakening, up-arousing its members by a God, gods, or demons of its own doctrinal and political insistence.
The words of the King James Version of the Bible have been massaged, arranged and presented in many other versions, but the God these represent cannot speak for Himself. Individual and group believers in “dead words” are glad to step up on pedestals and speak for that God. They can lead multitudes of seekers because they represent that God as the alive idols they are, up-exciting, up-arousing, up-awakening.
The God (o Theos or Alaha, in Aramaic) can speak for Himself when we turn off the noise of the present day personality self egoism, the human demon.
The process of Introspection aids in turning off the noise of the temporal and attuning to the eternal channel broadcasting the love of absolute infinite beingness, so we can cleanse the temple of God, our physical, emotional and thinking bodies before they disappear from matter.
No need to believe this writer. I can point, but the reader can aim and shoot the arrow. All voluntary, of course. No compulsion. No judgment. It is a freedom we can enjoy now. But, freedom requires work and responsibility for ourselves. Then, perhaps we can help others.
We can learn the process of cleaning the temple, through Introspection, from these “unclean spirits,” deaf and dumb, we have given life to and not let them back in with more like them.
Joshua Immanuel, the Christ, came here to demonstrate what we really are.
