Christmas Greetings!
In this season, even the world pauses to remember old times and to take stock, anticipating substantial and novel things to come, even if they not know why.
But we know why! God sent His Son into the world, to show a presence and a wonder in his day. His presence continues to this day by his spirit, and so does the wonder.
For us, it’s a privilege to remember that child and the greatness with which he walked before the Father on earth, and how he today, by his spirit, has worked in our lives. Looking forward to a new year, and to what may come, the promises come down to us through the centuries just as powerful as then and reverberate, showing that he will not abandon us or forsake us.
They rejoiced in the day of his birth, anticipating what great things were to come to pass; so we anticipate today his coming again in glory.
It is written: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8.
