Thanks to Stanley's informing me, I did receive your letter and so appreciate you sharing the blessings in your life with me. This week I've been under the weather a bit and wasn't able to respond right away. I apologize for that, but, I can't promise it won't happen again. Life does get in the way of living sometimes!! :) Yours sounds seriously busy, but, very rewarding. Your devotion to God and the work of reconciling man back to
God is awesome. You always did have a bundle of energy and commitment. You continue to be a very inspiring woman of God and I am so blessed to have had you in my life, expecially in those developing years. It was neat seeing Robin's picture here. Get Holly and Todd to post theirs as well. My heart was pierced for you when I read that Blair has passed on. I am so sorry.
You knew John and Leslie, but, I don't think you ever knew our other 3 children. Al and I had 3 boys, Michael (now almost 26), Stephen (23), and Chris (20). The older 2 are in college now and doing well. Chris hasn't yet decided what direction to take his life. But, he is having fun and that is his main priority at this point. I love 'em!! John has just this week made the move from MI to MN to begin a new job there. He is in his second marriage now with 2 new babies. He had 5 kids from his first marriage! He is doing super, still very smart and very sweet!! Along with everything else he's doing he is working on his PhD. Very motivated individual indeed!!
We are all very proud of him and all he has endured and accomplished. Leslie, of course, you are communicating with as well on this site. :) She looks as beautiful in person as she does in her picture. I love 'em all!! :)) Well, that's my catch-up for today. I will share more at another time. Thanks for all your prayers. You are in mine too. Love, Mary

The situation in Kenya does seem very grim--and that was one of the countries in Africa I always thought of as pretty stable.
Reading about your life and ministry makes me feel so proud to have known you--in spite of everything, you have soldiered on, making a difference wherever you go. I often think of you and Fred's comedy routines about your days as rare animal dealers--what hilarious adventures. It kills me that you lost each other while in the midst of losing so many other people in your lives.
We are often in SC to see my family in Summerville. Bo has a client there as well so it's wonderfully convenient to hang out with the famly while he's working--what you'd call a win-win situation! Franklin and Foster both live there with their families, most of whom are grown and gone but at least they're still there. Mother is 85 and slowing down but still as wild as ever. I treasure my times with her.
We're in Palm Springs with the kids for a week--neither of them could get off for Christmas so this was the next best thing. We're having a ball.
I noticed that some of your comments back to people are showing up on your page which means you are actually writing back to yourself! If you look at your options on the bottom of messages to you from others you'll see that you have to click on the one to the far left which will put you into the page of the person to whom you wish to respond--then you leave a comment in the comment box for them. Otherwise it just goes in your own box. You can copy the notes on your page to people like Mary Grumelot, then get to her page and copy it into the add comment box and it will get to her--believe me I've done it a few times myself and had to go through that procedure.
Anyway, we'll be in SC in February sometime. Maybe we can catch up. And yes, I belive you're 70--because I'm 61! Aarrgh! How did that happen?!
Lots of love,
Stanley
God bless you. I was thrilled to see your picture and to hear from you. You still look exactly the same. Very pretty. I am doing well and busy with the things the Lord lays my hands too.
Our International Prayer team is wonderful and I am on line all day every day with them. We are much concerned for our pastors in Kenya right now. Some are in refugee camps, starving. Our Head Bishop over there is in the hospital with Malaria and two of our pastors were killed. We are unable to track all of our little children over in Kenya. We have 600 between two schools for the Needy, one school and children seem to be suffering some, the others are on lock down since they are in the town hard hit. Thanks for your prayers.
I continue to be just as hungry for the Lord today as ever. He is our life in all we do. I can't tell you how thrilled I have been to see pictures and get messages from friends in the Corps. I remember such sweet fellowship and comradship which I have never really found outside of there.
The Lord Bless you greatly. I would love to connect some time!
Love, Vivian
So Great seeing your face again and learning of your life as a southern bell. I miss the south, still; after all these years! Would love to connect with you again. I've thought of you often over the past two decades. I'm so happy to see how blessed you are. Love, Mary
Yes were were family 2 and were at Headquarters for 5 years with Rock of Ages. We handled all the food services for Rock of Ages and other events. Thanks for asking. I looked for your picture - we were with family three in our second year.
Thanks for writing. Vivian
I was with family corps 3 but I know you were at HQ. You must have been on staff. Were you?
I don't have a clue where they are. I did not see their names listed as being on line yet.
Have a great New Year! Vivian
