About Me

After graduation in 1983, I moved to Santa Barbara, CA. In 1986 I was married then later we moved to Modesto CA. People say there are 2 types of California, the coast and Oklahoma… I lived in both. After having a son (Steven, now 20) we decided to move back east (both of us are from Long Island, NY). We wanted to be close to family but not too close so we chose RI. Some time in 1993 or 1994 I was divorced. On 9/11/1999 was remarried a woman from one of our local fellowships, Rhonda Vallante and we recently celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. Rhonda has 2 boys of her own (Michael, now 23 and John, now 19). I have always been involved with home fellowships and every other Sunday would go to a morning service that was held at a local hotel. The believers here decided to buy property and build a church to hold services every Sunday morning and have various events there. We just celebrated our 4th anniversary of the church. You can visit the web site at LivingFaithRI.org, you may even see some familiar faces in the photo section since there are a few Corps grads from here and we get visitors from other states (mainly NY).

My Interests

My interests are learning more about the scriptures and endeavoring to apply them. I enjoy being involved with our little church in any way that I can. I like to work with digital photography and incorporate scriptures to them. I sell them in our church bookstore just so I can keep my hobby going. Even though I haven’t done it in a while I like to golf, play tennis play softball, really any recreational sports that will not make me too sore the next week.

Employment or Career

Currently I am a Mortgage Loan Officer for Metrocities Mortgage but will be making a move very shortly to either a local Credit Union or a National Lender. I've been in the mortgage business for the past 10 years.

Music I Like

Mostly the older stuff. Whenever I turn on the radio I wind up on an oldies station or I flip to AM and listen to talk radio. If I put in a CD it's usually christian music.

Books I Like

Pop up books... no really I never read novels, I wait until the movie comes out. Mainly I read the Bible or some books with specific topics in the Bible. Sometimes I will read self help books geared toward sales or the mortgage and real estate industry.

Television I like

Prison Break, 24 most sporting events.

Movies I like

Braveheart, The Patriot, I liked the HBO mini series John Adams, Dumb and Dumber, Something About Mary and many more.

Sports Teams I like

NY Yankees, NY Giants, NY Jets, NE Patriots.

I love that list of all the 11th Way Corps I unearthed because that really helps me remember people. I will say forever that some of the greatest people in my life time were those I was with in the 11th Way Corps. I just have nothing but GREAT memories of all of them. I know that the Way Corps training and especially LEAD was the most challenging thing I have done in my life BUT somehow all I can remember is the cleansing and freeing laughter that I shared with those around me. God's Word put us all on the same Mountain top to be free and enjoy life and the 11th Corps LOVED LIFE and worked hard so we could play hard. Leadership eventually didn't appreciate my zeal for life and ability to have fun regardless so I guess that is why I am now free to roam the world having fun every where I go...life has just gotten better!

Thanks for the pics tom. i still have a list of all the names of those in the 11th corps. it was a prayer list. I should try and see how i can get that list up on the site. it would be a kick to read. "Why I like to smoke" That routine alone should have gotten you a limb. dan

Tom, thanks for writiing and letting me know about the Lead photos on your page. I love it! I have wonderful memories of that LEAD experience, and as you said, getting to go in June was very sweet. I remember
Clyde Robertson was one of our awesome leaders there.

How on earth did you ever remember my name? I'd love to be reminded about the other people's names that you remember. I recognize you and Karen Hardy and some faces look SO familiar...but I can't put names with them all. Can you??

If you see Dave Hanson in Rhode Island (as I read on Susan P's comment to you), please give him a HUGE hello from me. He lived on the other side of "Mystic Lakes" from my home in Winchester, Massachusetts. In the town of Medford, I think.(aka "Meh-fah," by the Medford Cheerleaders).

We were all so young looking! And cute - we're we all?? Yikes, I remember thinking I was an old lady back then, at the ripe age of 26 or 27 :-) Ha.

I do miss the East coast, but am pretty firmly planted here in the Midwest now. I go to New England a couple times a year to see my family... but mostly to Maine and NH.

Glad to know you are still standing for God and enjoying His goodness, too.
