  • Hey SUE!!! OMG! It is so good to communicate with you! Your life sounds wonderful! Sounds busy and fulfilling! I'm so happy for you and Linus. I about fainted when Linus told me little Linus is 42!!!! Geez....he's almost as old as us! hehehe
My daughter Jaymi (30) is married to Joshua and has a 3 year old daughter, Isa. She lives about 15mins from me....heavenly!
My son Andy, (28) is still single and lives about 3 mins from me!!!! He comes over and cuts my grass, changes lightbulbs, etc. I love that he is so close.
Paige (23!) is my youngest. She lives within 10 mins. She is finishing up her college years. She attends Herron School of Art (Part of Indiana University). She has about a year left.
I divorced Greg 4 years ago after years of uncertainty. I just couldn't get him to come home..... Saw and heard about too many women
friends. Guess he tired of me.
I'm having a great time though. Made the necessary adjustments and seem to be doing better than I ever imagined. Have a wonderful job and great friends. Still hang with Joanne Marples---who is now Joanne Richardson. I'm going to tell her about this web site!!!
I sew little things....little girl dresses, cuffs (which is a bracelet out of material) just little things...nothing like quilting!!!! you go girl!
I have to get to work.....we'll be in touch with each other, please. It's so good to see and hear from you two.
    I love ya!

  • My daughter is 33. Mandy was in kindergarden when we were in residence and son Chris was only 4. You did not have a daughter then. Time sure has flown. My grandson is waaaay down in Miami so I hardly ever see him.

    Hugs,

    Cathy
  • Hey Sue,

Hope you had a great 4th. My daughter lives in Orlando where she has been teaching school for 10 years. Son and his wife live south of Miami. We are all looking to move to a more temperate climate and have narrowed it down to NC or Oregon. As all our family is in the East, OR is probably not going to win but we are still debating.

I'll have to put up some of my son's art. He has been doing grafitti for 13 or 14 years. He has a couple of walls in Miami and actually a few here in Tallahassee and in Gainesville. He has been unable to paint for about 3 years but wants to get back to it as soon as he can.

I have been so blessed connecting with people here again. I know I only spent one year in residence but really remember you and Linus with fond memories.

    God bless,

    Cathy
  • Wow, Alaska. I bet it is totally beautiful there. I am still here in Florida but looking to move to a more temperate climate. I'll tell you I so hate the heat.

Your drawings are beautiful. My son Chris is an artist. He also designs tatoos and does some really fine grafitti. I'll have to put up some of his work.

I have gotten into making soap and I really enjoy working all the great natural oils, butters, herbs and fragrances into a great soap that is good for your skin. I sell it at local flea markets and craft fairs.

Hector is living in Ft Lauderdale. I see him once or twice a year when I go down to see the kids. His health is not good and he has put on a few lbs (that man had a 29" waist til he was 45) but he has the same smile and heart for God.

    Good to hear from you!

    Hugs,

    Cathy
  • This is funny...My daughter is in the Art Institute of Charlotte. She's in the certificate graphic arts program which is more affordable... it's art only classes (which Rachael appreciates!) We took out a parent loan as well as Rachael has a student loan which she doesn't start payments until she finishes. (also a plus for us is she didn't need student housing.) The best part is they have a very good record in finding jobs for the students... A good friend of ours graduated from the same program that Rachael's in & had 4 really good job offers. She actually works for a graphic art co. that does alot of Nascar advertising.
As a side note I work painting on tiles and never finished college... It sort of depends what field of art you're into.
If Lydia ever wants ideas on how to market her skills ... I've got a bunch!
    Carolyn
    P.S. you look gorgeous!!!
  • Hi, Sue,
She's 19... in so many ways she reminds me of me at her age... a bit on the wild side.... loves animals, majoring in art...

    How's Lydia?

    Carolyn
  • Hey Sue,
Yes it is a fun site, have you looked at some of the video's?
Time go by so fast. We graduated when? Ha.
One thing though I'll always be a bit younger right!
You always took that well I have to admit. LOL

Yes I remember Carolyn, send her our best.

One of these days well visit, it's been too long huh.

By the way how about some pics.

    Love ya
    God's Best,

  • Hey Sue,
Glad to see your on this great site.
    You'll really enjoy yourself,

  • Well there she/he be! Haven't heard or talked with ya in too long. Lost touch before I left NM (Albuquerque was great but time to move on in 95). Sure is great to see you/Linus join on to this site. Its wonderful to find out where family is, what they are up to etc. How is the son Linus? What is he up too? How is the father Linus?
Life here in central PA is great! Not as warm or slow as NM but not as cold or fast paced as NJ/NY area either. The Word continues to move and grow leaps and bounds in this area. Few years back we had a rabbit attack and now there are many many young men/women in the young teen arena as well as elder teens/young 20's. My baby Elisse will be 23 next week and after graduation from college this summer is going to teach early childhood education! Imagine that when she herself is still a baby!!!! If you check out my page you'll see all the other stuff. I have pics of Chris and his family, my grand kids etc. I am very blessed here and the fellowship of believers is great. God continues to bless me abundantly. Please give my XXOO to all (I really can't believe you guys hung it out in AK for sooo long but I'm sure you are blessed there. They need some good NYorkers there to set things right in the snow. Stay in touch. Agape......Laura
  • I know what you mean. It can eat up your time, I come in do an hour and split. It's a blessing to see where people ended up living.

    Love you,
