"Now it's coming back to me but in small pieces.
I think I went with Shae Daniels who lived with a real strict 14th corps girl in StClair Shores Mi. I think I remember John Chelar being there also."

  • Hey Rob. Hope all is well. A friend sent me a picture of our first twig in-residence year. We were dressed up like 50's for some reason. I don't remember everyone in picture, but a couple. Seems like it was so long ago. Good to hear thing are going well for you. I teach special education for elementary school. It's great. I like this website, and haven't looked into former way stuff in years. Take care. Steve Burdin

  • I took PFAL in March of 1983. I auditioned for the drummer part for the band Heirborn that Bruce Naylor and John Radebaugh were putting together in the early summer of 1986. That was a 1 year Aug 86 to Aug 87 commitment. I went into the 18th corps Sept of 1987.
No it was not Lynn that Shae lived with. This girl had long wirey blondish hair. She was nice overall but very religious, very strict by the book type.
I do not remember the singles advance but I do remember most of our band gigs.

  • I was good friends with John Radebaugh and where ever his band played my way home would go and dance and hang out...groopies. That is how Wayne and I really got to know each other. I also left Detroit the same time the Naylors did. We all moved down to Columbus OH and so did Julie now Radebaugh. The strict 14th corps girl was probably Lynn Schraudenbach even though I don't remember Shea living with her but that could have been after I left and yes Shea Daniels was at the wedding you took a very cute picture of her. Wanna see it? This was 20 years ago at the end of August so it is not surprising you don't remember. I never knew you real well but well enough to ask you to do the photography and you kindly agreed. Do you remember going to the singles advance that Rob Sering Coordinated? Well, I co-coordinated that with him. I am trying to think of anything else you might remember. I think you were pretty new in the ministry. When did you take PFAL?
Detroit was on fire those years Bruce and Carole were there. Anyone that was a part of that time saw the Word of God permeate an area and in those 3 years it just got better and better, the third year as the best 85-86.
Well, there you go try those memories on.
    Patty
  • You crack me up. It was up in New Baltimore at Owen and Arleen Jeakles beautiful home. Julie now Radebaugh sang at our wedding..."this is our time to reach out and touch someone...this is our time to reach out and touch someone..." Lynn Schradenbach was my brides maid, Bruce Jiggens was the best mand, Myron smith was an usher, Bill Brown was an usher, it was on the water, Owens HUGE boat was dangling above the water in the background of our photos...You hadn't gone inresidence yet. You were living with Rob Sering and John Radabaugh at the time in Royal Oak. Clint was still around...Tom Guelli did the wedding...I will post a picture of you there from that day to prove I am not confusing with anyone else...lol.
I ran a way home in Sterling Heights and Troy, 11th WC.
That's is it, it is all I got.
    Patty
