  • HI Renee,
One of these days I will complete my profile. .....so how are you doing? Do you have an email address where I can write you?
All is well here in rainy Juneau AK. Hey where are you Northern CA? I am going to Sacramento after Thanksgiving to see Carolyn Young Walters. She is 8th Corps and "my own good best friend" as Forrest Gump would say. ha ha Don't know if you know her. Nice to be in touch with people on this site. There are many I want to write.
Thinking of you makes me smile and sometimes when I think of you I think of Larkin,,,.... ma numma numma....why do I remember her saying that!???LOL
  • Renee, my brother Richard says he'd love to hear from you. richfiryn@yahoo.com
  • Hi Renee, How are you sweetheart? We are good - working and staying happy. Your kids sound wonderful. This site really is amazing isn't it? Its been so long since I've heard your laugh and seen your smile. Unforgettable!!! I don't think I spelled that right but at least this doesn't site correct you.

We are living in St Marys next door to Mark and Sigrid. Its been fun. Mark and Siggy coordinate the fellowship here and there's a group of us that have been around for a long time between New Knoxville, New Bremen and St Marys.

Dennis and I are building custom furniture. Keeps us busy - but we haven't done any shows past Denver. Its a long haul for us to come to California. We are going to do a table for a winery in Napa and Dennis will probably have to come out to assemble it when we finish. So, I don't know if I'll come with or not and I have no idea if that's anywhere near you or not. But if it is - we'll have to get together and laugh. I would love it.

    Love, Stephanie
  • Hi Renee, Oh my this is fun! It is like old home week! I loved looking over your photos. You look so great. So where are you in Novato. Do you by any chance live in San Marin area near your parents? I have only been back there about four or five times since 1975. But of course since I grew up in Pleasant Valley and then off of Olive Road (during High School) and since I got into the word at a fellowship at Pete and Bonnie Weekley's House, and since it was at an Oakland Athletics game where I sat in between Pat Hughes and Del Duncan that I first thought about moving onto the track that led me into the Way Corps, I will always think of Novato with fondness. My heart is flooding with all the good memories right now. Another high point in my life started out in Novato but actually bloomed fully on the off ramp that exits onto 5th. Street (I think) in San Rafael. I do not remember why we were going to San Rafael, but I vividly remember what happened on the way. I was seated in the back seat between Donnie Smith and Colin Smith, Chris Kuhl and Pat Hughes were in the front seats. They taught me about speaking in tongues and then pulled off the road right on the side of the off ramp and demanded that I go for it. I was scared and I thought I would look weird doing it and so I made every single one of them sit with their backs to me looking out the window (instead of at me) and then I did just what they instructed me to do. It must have been a funny site to passing cars to see this car pulled over on the off ramp with all the people in it looking out of different windows and apparently speaking at the same time. God must have had a snicker! Oh the fond memories! I will figure out how to do the picture thing this weekend. Until then . . . My daughter (Abigail) is in a pic at Sheila's spot and so am I. Love always, Allison
  • Renée,

Didn't Chuck Lamattina start out with us in the cause division and then start the seventh core with with us but not finish? If it is I just found them on this website. I haven't thought of him in a long time. Let me know if I am remembering this correctly.

Do you know what has happened to Ken Sudduth, Mike Coad, Hubert Smithers, Lyle Barlow? Those are if you of our old college buddies that I can remember. Oh yeah, how about Reverend Bob, the one who couldn't stay out of the bathroom.

Talk to you soon, Greg Moore
  • Renée!!!

I've wondered for years where you are and how you are doing. Great to see you on this site. I take it your son Sam is going after the heritage of his father because I'm no expert but Gunheimdoesn't seem to be an Irish name. Ha ha.

I'm living in North Carolina now which I call home because I have never lived in the same town let alone the same state as long as I have, since 1993. This is new territory for me.

It's really great to hear from you, or at least see you here. Drop me a line, let me know how you are doing.

Loving Christ, Greg Moore College division and seventh Corps. Boy that's going way back isn't it?
  • Good to see you Renee~ Hope all is well in your world. Of course, you're on the friend list and happy to see you're back in your home territory. Both of my girls are in CA now; Lauren lives in Oakland and works in San Fran. and Ali just started grad school in Santa Barbara. So I'll be making trips to CA for the years to come. Stay well!
  • Renee!!! Remember us all having our happy, hippy-dippy morning fellowships across the street from the high school in the Lutheran Church's parking lot? That was a rock solid bunch of young believers. Your daughter looks quite a bit like you. I never, ever get back to Novato anymore. Do you ever get out to the east coast?
It doesn't seem possible that you are an empty-nester now. Time has flown by so quickly!
  • Hey Renee,
Good to hear from you. I was telling Mark about the site but he isn't much for e-mail and chating unless it with the kids, so I told him I would send him a message or you can on his e-mail at tdc@woh.rr.com It sure is good to talk to everyone.
