About Me

Les & I have been married for 20 years and have 2 children, Alex (17) and Masha (15). Alex is a junior and plays varsity basketball as well as plays sax & piano and works at a local grocery store called Hannafords. Masha plays piano and sings as well as does ballroom dancing and drama. Les is a retired postal worker, and I am in my 4th year of homeschooling after taking time off from public school teaching. We have a fellowship in our home, and recent teachers who have blessed our lives are Ken Petty, who no matter what he teaches, is so great at teaching the new nature and who you are in Christ. (theblessedlife@msm.com), Sangat Baines and the other Indian believers who have helped us see much bigger Word over the World (sangatb@satyam.net.in or inchriststead.com), and Carl & Sheila Fox who have helped us so much with healing and deliverance (www.cfim.net)

My Interests

I am enjoying homeschooling highschool as you get to learn things like economics with Uncle Eric (WHATEVER HAPPENED TO PENNY CANDY ETC. www.BluestockingPress.com), as well as world history (via Great Courses where there are university professors teacing), and even chemistry and Algebra 2. We also get to pray and study the Word daily and various related books. Also I play clarinet in a local community band, and I'm getting back into drawing and painting and have some of my oils in an art show. I also love cats and have 3 male cats (2 orange and 1 black). The orange cats are Bingo and Finch and the black one is Blackstone.

Employment or Career

Right now I am homeschooling teens in highschool.

Music I Like

I like most music.

Books I Like

My favorite is the Bible and I have decided that TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is my favorite secular book.

Television I like

I enjoy one hour adventure/comedy shows such as NCIS, CSI, the Unit, Jericho, Monk, Psych, and Shark.

Movies I like

I enjoyed National Treasure and Michael Clayton

Sports Teams I like

I like my son's basketball team-the Mt. Ararat Eagles. OF course, I still like the University of Kansas teams as well as New England teams such as the Patriots, Celtics, Red Socks, etc.

Hi Leanne, This is the first time I have looked at the way corps site. Remember me? Phyllis Solomon. you were my wow coordinator in MN then I went into the 10th corps. Still loving God and His Word. I'm married and have been living in PA since 1989 Was great friends with your corps brother Jeff Duclos. He fell asleep in 2013. Love ya

I see your son also plays the sax. Skip still is playing the sax. He endorses Cannonball saxaphones. Sounds like your children are very gifted. We have been so very blessed over the years. When I look at my three (the triplets) grandchildren I am reminded of God's Power. They truly were miracle babies. My email is njm745@yahoo.com. recent pictures are on my page. you will recognize Daniel, just an older version of him, but his baby boy looks just like he did when he was little!!

It has been many years. I often look at the pictures at Rome City of us with Stevie at a park or school. Do you remember that? Our kids are all grown and we are grandparents of triplets age 3. Those would be Tiffany's children.

Glad to see you joined here. It's really fun to catch up with old friends. Hope to see you at camp again this summer.

Bruce had a great youth advance in January. Vicki was excited to go since she had to miss camp last summer, and Paul stayed to help chaperone. I think the guys had more of a "men's advance" and pretty much left the kids on their own. I know Vicki had a great time!
