About Me
I suppose I should say a few words. Married to Nancy (since '81). We returned to Baton Rouge in '87 "after the deluge" and have been boringly stable ever since. 2 children...Andrew, 24, goes to LSU and works for me. Christine, 21, also a student at LSU.
My Interests
We do house church. A few are former Wayfers and the rest are not. We've thoroughly enjoyed integrating with the wider Christian community out there. We did the home school thing and were president of a large home school association.
I do missions work in East Africa (mainly Tanzania) with Tim Sullivan . See www.wtwh.org

Evan...you look great. I was looking at your picture on here as I was loading those pics, and thinking about the people that had brought me to the place I am today.
The Body of Christ is so awesome. I am thankful for you. If you were here I would give you a big hug!
God is good. Thanks for standing on the Word. I look forward to the Bema where I get to stand and watch you receive all your crowns. I'll be saying "Hurry up, already! We get it! This guy was awesome on earth!" (oh..I guess I'll have a perfectly renewed mind. I'll just be clapping!)
Love you. Thanks for taking the time to write a note to me.
I appreciate it!
Bless you big!!!
Bernie
(By the way, Jeff Pappas came and visited us last summer. It was soooo wonderful. We enjoyed hanging with him and his wife Lynn. They are terrific. God worked some very cool things while he was here. So sweet.)
Thank you for your greeting, my friend. 30 years so much time and where do we begin. I love your simplicity and how you're still teaching the Word, your missonary work in east Africa--you seem to be doing all the things that you still love and have a passion for. I remember meeting you for the 1st time and was introduced by Bonnie in the old days at Donnie Fugit's house in good ole Wichita----those were certainly memorable days.
You always made me laugh---such a great sense of humor. I have
never met Nancy but I'm sure she is wonderful. All the best to you Evan and to your family.
God Bless! Thanks for the correction. Its refreshing to see you guys blessed and in Gods Word. Were doing a home fellowship by ourselves here in Toledo, although we've been going to Family Camp with Liviing Hope Community Church (Vince and Mimi Finnigans ministry) the past several years. Kathy Ashley just said hi and posted a dental services picture wich inspired me to dig up some of mine. Joe and Camill and Colleen are on this site. I still see Dennis Hickman. He lives south of Toledo and comes up for dental work. Greg Shook helped me build my office here but haven't seen him for 15 years. Well,God bless you again, We'll catch up at the return! Dan
squirt bottles in appropriate places for ahem.... marking your territory. LOL.
Ah, Evan I so appreciated your sense of humor. You guys sure lightened the place up.
Yeah, I said I'd never do the window cleaning thing either- did for many years-
then went back to school to become a paralegal and later a lobbyist. ( State level, not Congressional) I'm currently loving being a home maker:)
You look wonderful. Very distinguished.
God bless!
Kathy
Oh yeah. We go back a long way - to high school and Grace Presbyterian. I suppose we should be very thankful we can remember back that far - almost 40 years (did I really say that?). There aren't many people I went to high school with that I am still in contact with. In fact, I think Steve Kunkle is the only other one - and I'm still trying to bring him into the computer age.
Having taken a quick look through your page, I am deeply thankful for your heart of service, not only in your household fellowship, but in Africa. Most of the people on our fellowship are from Africa (both Congos, Gabon, Rwanda, Cap Vert), so we feel a close attachment to Africa through them. The added bonus is the food - when we party, we eat very well.
I am still stunned that you have a window cleaning business. I'm not sure if I'll ever get over the shock. (I used to do that as well. Being in Canada, I left it for labours that didn't require antifreeze - picture framing, curating an art gallery, a desk job, and now our own business.)
Do I know your wife? You don't have any pictures of the two of you yet. If I do, please say hi for me. If I don't, then you can say hi anyway. Some of my best friendships have started with a hi.
Take care, Evan. God bless you.

Yep, you pegged it-- "the other Robert Wilkinson."
Great to hear from you.
You can get lost in this thing. I don't know about all this walking down memory lane stuff. It's bringing up all kinds of thing, some good, some I'm not sure that I want to go to. Talk to you soon.
It was great to hear from you. I was fascinated by the photo on your page. I see you've tasted of the sweetness of the mission field. I sampled myself with a visit to Senegal and to South Africa in 2003. This past summer I was in Los Cabos, Mexico and fulfilled a longtime dream of ministering in Spanish on my birthday--an unforgettable experience.
You mentioned Ernest Gaines, one of my favorite authors, whom I met on a couple of occasions. He's a very genial individual, and I have long since appreciated his fiction set in Cajun country.
Great to hear from you.
Be blessed,
Lonnell
