"Hi Linda, Now Jenelda remembers you very well! She said that you sat on the couch with her in morgantown and talked for quite a while, and that you helped her make the decision to go wow. Very cool that you were instrumental in her life !"

"Great to see you too, Linda! It's been soo long! It is a shame that we were so close and never knew it. Jenelda Says she can't put a face to your name, but our first year in residence, she spent a lot of time dealing with her attempted deprogramming…"

  • Sue got a kick out of your comment. She says you have a great memory. She remembers little.hehe You know you kids are the same age as mine with the exception on the third child. I bet you're good at the furniture thing. Hey Sue says she still has the bottle she found in gunnison I believe and you wanted to buy it from her for twenty bucks. It's an old coke bottle. Hey want ta buy it.hehe
  • Hey Dan, I was going to sign that message I sent you with the name "Cavern", but I wasn't sure if you woulda remembered, but you did, hah! Dick Michaud calls me that once in awhile in e-mails.

Anyhoo, yeah, old bottles. I think they are kinda cool too, although I haven't found any really neat ones. Those ones I found were old beer bottles, with some of them being from what seemed to be the fifties with recognize-able brand names.

So Dan, I have, from time to time, told the story of slap fighting with you in the top floor of "Waters Of Life", the Gunnison dorm. I remember how I successfully planted a nice open handed slap on the side of your face with a right, which then unleashed what appeared to be the unbridled fury of the massive hulking Italian Corps Brother known as Dan Puzzo. You smacked my face (open handed of course) so hard that my little 170 pound body flew across the dorm room and crashed into a bunk bed! No doubt you weren't really mad, but just "playin around with the little fella". But, it was awesome! We stopped at that point of course. I remember thinking; "Geez, these big guys are in another league, or something..."

But, I remember far more wonderful things about you than that of course, but that incident definitely made an "impression", hah!

Well, I surely pray and hope that all is well with the Puzzos. Give Jenelda my love and greets,

    In Him,

    Cavern

  • Hey, Dan-thanks. Jenelda and I met when she was still in West Virginia (Morgantown?). It was either while I was a WOW in Moundsville or living at the Limb home in Charleston. She was either thinking of taking the class or thinking about going WOW-I can't remember which. We had a good talk. Anyway-I remember her fondly. Best to both of you!
  • Hi Dan! Love to you and Jenelda!! So glad to see you here! Karen :)
  • Hey Dan! How you doin? Ya know, I was on a job in downtown Juneau where they built a new gift shop over what was once an old bar and whorehouse. Well, I showed up to build forms and pour concrete, and later hang sheetrock, and the guys told me that when they were digging out the lot to put in the new foundation, there were layers and layers of old bottles from back in the days of the gold rush. They said that the deeper they dug, the lower layers were more crushed than the top layers, but that there were, from time to time, fully preserved bottles in all layers.

Basically, what they did back in the day with their used bottles, was simply to throw them out the window. Thinking of you, I grabbed a few old beer bottles, but, they didn't really seem very old, so, I chucked 'em. But, I'll still keep my eye out for ya.

Anyhoo, take care, God bless, and give my love to Jenelda....
