About Me
Hector and I went to Miami our interm year and were relieved of our "duties" about half way through. We continued to run the Hispanic Branch and ran 4 PFAL classes back to back that year. We decided to stay in Miami and ran twigs up until 1989 or so. The kids were getting big and we were both working.
Hector moved out of our home in 1991 and then we divorced in 1993.
In late 1993 our son, Chris, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease. He was just 17. Chris went thru the whole chemo-radiation deal and came out clean and "in remission" as I knew he would. He was then diagnosed with MS in 2005. He is bed bound but determined to beat it.
Mandy went to the University of Florida and received a Masters of Education. She taught high school history for 19 ears in Orlando and now teaches in Alpharetta, GA.. Mandy married Joel Green Mandy and Joel have two children, Logan, 7 and Zoe, 6.
Hector fell asleep in March of 2016.
I have lived e d in Tallahassee for 21 years. I will retire soon and move up to Georgia to be near family.
I was never marked and avoided, more like the other way around. When I stopped feeling the love, I left.
My Interests
I make soap and bath and body products. I really love designing a great, soothing bar of bubbly soap that is good for your skin. I also work with herbs and essential oils used in aromatherapy. I love reading and cooking.
Employment or Career
I work in Customer Service, like, all my life in one way or another. Was a rep for a gas company, 911 operator, administrative assistant for a private association, an assistant operations manager for a continuing education company, counselor for Florida Medicaid and now for PCG who does work for FL Dept of Children and Families. Still speak Spanish, better now than ever, I think. Helps out when one goes south of the border to Miami. ;-))
Music I Like
Country (no groans), jazz, 60' & 70' & some 80"s music. Can't do Rap, tho my son says I need to listen to the words, Sorry, I cannot understand the words!
Books I Like
Any Florida authors, mysteries, Nora Roberts, etc
Sports Teams I like

Yes we had a very nice 4th. Linus and his family came over for a BBQ and we had a nice day. My grandsons, Malachi (soon to be 6) and Arin (4) played in a big empty cardboard box almost all day. I've always thought that kids like the boxes better than to toys!
How old is your daughter? Teaching for 10 years already, wow. My daughter, Lydia is 22. It seems like yesterday she was a baby. Time sure flies!!!!
Talk to you again soon.

God bless, Myrna Brinkley
Thank you for your kind words. I have wonderful memories of FL.
I am thankful for all the times we had there.
Love,
B
So your kids live in Ft. Lauderdale? I have a brother that lives in the Miami area. I'm not exactly sure where. He's been in that area for a long time.
Alaska is a beautiful place. I love it here. A BIG difference from New York City! We live in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. As far as scenery goes, I couldn't ask for a more picturesque place.
It was good hearing from you. Let's keep in touch, okay?
Sue
Isn't this fun getting reconnected to old friends. I found it overwhelming at first, but now it just feels right. YOu all look great. Wild to see how the kids have grown. I am so thankful to still be an active part of their lives. 3 of the kids are in Maine this year, Sarah just moved in next door last month so I am enjoying having daily interaction w/ my 2yo granddaughter...lots of energy! Gotta get ready for work...will touch in again.

WOW...woman, you look the same...the same lovely face and beautiful smile. Sorry to hear about your divorce, etc. After I left F7, I went to Albuquerque, NM with my then young preteen/teen Chris (who is on his way to being 38!!!). I got married to Richard Bolin, had my beautiful daughter Elisse (just turned 23!) and we split beginning of 90's. I left for PA in 95 and have never regretted it for a moment. I was in such need of healing and deliverance when I got here...it was really bad. But, GOD's grace and mercy continually abound and before long, I was well on my way to spiritual recovery. I'm blessed to be with wonderful believers who keep GOD's Word very simple, never legal (yuch) and that is that! Jeff Duclos (7th Corps) and his wife Deb have been lovingly serving the PA area for about 25 yrs now and they are just the absolute best. Hysterically funny and loving. Both kids are out of house (my apt) now. Check out my page to get all the details on what's a happening. I'm so glad that you made me a friend and so glad to see you on this website. You also joined the F7 group and I was amazed that we now are 12 strong. What a way to go!! You mentioned moving North?? You are more than welcome to come this way. I've been praying for another female believer to live with and no doors have opened up yet. I just continue to pray because I know that it is GOD's timetable, not mine and that HE is never late. Come for a visit and stay!! You would be very blessed. Wild that you've been in CSR...I have been too. Incredible minds think alike:) So...stay in touch please and if there is anything I can do for you, in addition to prayer, just let me know. Remember, U R His Bestest...God Bless..Agape...Laura
How great to hear from you! Such a long time has gone by, huh? I live in Maine. Been here since '83. Who'd a thought?
Robin lives 2 hours north. We have 4 kids and 2 grad kids!
Great seeing you again.
