Denver? Wow, I didn't know. Thhanks for shouting out.
You both look terrific. I look forward to hearing of what you're doing, photos, etc. Love to you & Sandy.
the feeling is quite mutual Bob! ...ya know, I don't know why (except maybe my brain is weird) but the visual I just got while reading your comment was of us in the kitchen at the house we rented, sitting at the table eating salad out of a big bowl while a B-52 roared overhead...
Hi Sandy and God Bless you Big! This is my first time on this site, though Jack has told me about it. Today is Jack's Birthday! He is a youthful 59! We won't say what that makes me. We are so tremendously blessed here in Pace, Florida. Our boys will be coming in for Christmas, so, as you might imagine, life is very active right now in a wonderful decorative sort of way.
It was so wonderful to see you and Bob on this site! I truly enjoyed my time in the Corps with you both. We need to get a scanner so we can get some pictures on the web. I've told Jack, but we rarely shop in the electronics department. Our oldest son, Johnny Ray, only recently convinced Jack to get a cell phone!
Speaking of Johnny Ray; he is married almost 6 years and in the Navy 6 1/2. He married his high school sweetheart. They have blessed us with our first grandson, Johnathon Riley who is now 16 months and our second, Joseph Ray, is on the way. Our youngest son, Jake is in California with his Uncle Jim learning to work on Jaguars in Jim's shop and attending auto mechanics school. Jake is 22 and Johnny Ray is 25 as is Lisa, his wife.
Jack talked me into taking up golf by buying me a set of clubs for Father's Day a few years back, so that has become our recreational activity together. We are abundantly blessed and would love to have you come visit and stay with us here in Pace anytime. Lonnie Nelson (8th Corps) and his wife, Vicki (9th Corp?) were just through.
Well, that's us in a nutshell. We love God and continue to coordinate a fellowship in Crestview with some wonderful believers, including the parents of Jane Stoke,10th Corp: Howard and Arlene Stokes. What an inspiration they are.
Keep holding It high you two,
So wonderful to hear from you and would love to hear more,
I just remembered the time we were driving back to Madison after the Rock (we had just gotten off the field in Alabama). It was late at night & we somehow took the wrong turn-off and ended up lost on the south side of Chicago. God guided us back safe and sound back to the highway (and those were the days before GPS's). Those were the days.
Warbs!
I told you to marry that girl!
What a blessing to see your faces. So many fond memories. You guys are the greatest.
Cheryl and I send our love.
God bless,
Rob
Hi Sandy !!! Yeah, Hitchhiking in the Corps. I suppose I could write a book about those fun filled adventures, I remeber the great frige raid. I still love raiding the frige even at home, I don't do much hitching nowadays tho. It sure is great to hear from ya'll, give my love to Bob. Love Meldon.
