"Hi guys we just returned from a fellowship at the bay where we met your son Jake. What a great young man. We had heard that he moved here a couple of weeks ago but had not met him yet. It was great to get to see him he sure is a tall one. He really…"
"Hey grilfriend, I was very blessed to hear from you we are getting some funny comments, but it is a blessing to hear from people we love and have great memories about in our lives. Yes I remember that walk and I remember you were someone I really…"
"great picture guys, but you look much older in person Bob, just kidding you don't look any different than the last time I saw you this summer!!!! I love you guys"
Vikki, thanks so much for responding. Small world. Jake is still learning who he knows that knows us. He is thrilled to be living in a home with other believers near his age. He didn't know a lot of those around here. Wasn't what he was into. We know what a tremendous time of growth he is going to undergo there: been there; done that:-) He has actually been out there a year, but was living with his Uncle Jim, Jack's brother, who owns an auto shop. Jim has been teaching Jake the ropes while Jake has also been going to school for auto mechanics. Jim's shop is exclusive to Jags, MG's, Lotuses, Rolls Royce, etc. I'm not sure what it is called, but Jim has lived in San Diego since leaving Ohio right after high school. To afford the rent at the home, Jake is going to be looking into working again as a deck hand on one of the fishing boats there. He is an incredible fisherman and did that in Destin, FL for a time after high school. He was just home and managed to get in some time fishing with Victor and Johnny, our Corps sister, Shari (Erickson) Wierwille's boys. (They love it as much as he does.) They are in Niceville and we get together for fellowship. He packed up all his rods and reels he wants us to ship to him while he was home. It is a thrilling time to be a believer, for sure. And watching our children experience the excitement we knew in moving the Word at their age brings such joy! If we make it to San Diego, we may just take you up on the room. If not, we will have to get together.
Next Monday we travel to the east coast to visit our other sone, Johnny Ray and his family. He is in the Navy and has been in Virginia Beach his entire career, except for the beginning of Irac and Hurricane Katrina. He married his high school sweetheart, Lisa, and they've blessed us with two wonderful grandsons. We are getting excited about spending time playing with Johnathon and Joseph, our grandsons and being with Johnny and Lisa won't be half-bad, I'm sure.
Well, thanks for responding and enjoy our boy, Jake. He gets his height from my side of the family. All the Abrell guys were tall. He IS a genuine sweetheart, and I'm not just saying that b/c I'm his Mom, though I admit I'm biased. I'm saying it b/c it's true. He will make some girt a wonderful husband some day.
Hi Vikki, Just stopping in to say, "I love you, Sis".
Jack & I have a son, Jake, who just left today to return to San Diego where he is living in a home with a bunch of other believers about his age: 23. He spends a lot of time hanging out with Donnie & Bernie Smith, our LEAD partners, and their children there in San Diego.
Think about you guys more than you know. I actually tried to call you, Vikki, about a month ago, bu there was no way to leave a message. Maybe I'll try again soon. Would love to enjoy your fellowship.
Hey Vikki! (Just realized how you spell your name!) This picture was taken...guess where?!?! (hint: place boobs here)
Don't know if I ever told you thank you for "hosting" us during the 3 day. The hot tub on my feet was fabulous!
Love ya, Tricia
Hey babies,
Nice Boat! Are you living the good life until then? Sounds great to me. How is the boy doing back east? Still going to school. You know I love you both
I saw pictures of you this summer, so it is nice to see the boat. Karen and I were looking at pictures of Hillary's wedding while we were in VT. I told her one of my favorite Way Corps stories which involves Vikki. Do you remmeber when we had to hike around Gunnison the first day we got there? In the midst of the push up the hill to the water tower you said in a stage whisper, "Tom, Tom you can not save our souls by persecuting our bodies."
I still laugh out loud everytime I think of it. Lots of love to you both.
I just get a smile on my face thinking of you two...God's blessings to you!! LOVE the name of your boat. It is wonderful to reconnect with so many we have loved and lost touch with. Hugs, Connie

How come you didn't make that same invitation to me that you made to Kevin Nye?
I am much more entertaining and cordial than he is!
Rob
